Amazon Essentials Women's Classic-Fit 100% Cotton Sleeveless Tank Top, Pack of 2Basic 100% cotton tank tops are the staple in my wardrobe. I wear them for pajamas, and I wear them during the day as a layer or on their own.This is the perfect lightweight 100% cotton basic tank top. This is the 2nd time I've purchased these (the first order was in a size large for sleeping). The material really is 100% cotton. It's a basic classic shape, not fitted, perfect for summer. These have a slight shirt tail hem. A little longer in the back than the front. Perfect for wearing loose or tucked in. Well made. Easy care. A perfect staple.The white and light blue tie dye are lightweight enough for show through with a brightly colored sports bra underneath. I didn't notice show through with a nude bra underneath. There's no show through on the light gray and charcoal colors. I hope they come out with a better and broader selection of colors. The blue tie dye is very pretty.

Color and material are good. Size is off. Normally wear Small but this was way too big all around. Arm holes, torso, length was good.

Not see through but light weight. Nice for the summer. Soft cotton feel. Looks nice to wear as shell, under a jacket or by itself. Good quality product. I wear size 14 with 42D chest, 178lbs and XL fitted pretty good and doesn’t fit snug. Beautiful, vibrant color.

I wear cotton tank tops to bed. I've always had to buy men's Gildan size large, because I couldn't find any that fit as well. Gildan was never a perfect fit, too long under the armpits and too long. Recently, they started to make the Gildan ones smaller across. I couldn't just size up to XL because those were humungous. So, I've been on the lookout to replace them. I came across these Amazon Essentials Women's Classic-Fit and I'm super impressed. Eventually, I will replace all my Gildan's with them. I have purchased six, so far. I wear a large, but these run small, so I had to get XL. Once you wash them, they fit like a large. They wash up great and they fit well enough to wear out as a regular tank top. I like that there are many colors, but of course I'd like even more. The Gildan's were always getting holes, didn't last all that long, and have recently gotten much thinner in material, and while the Amazon Essentials are fairly thin, the material looks to be very good quality and I expect them to last longer than the Gildan's. I'm very happy with these tanks, just remember to size up one size.*UPDATE: I have washed the light pink one once and it already has a hole in it. The material is quite thin, so maybe that is why this happens. They are substantially thinner than the Gildan heavy or ultra tanks. I'm very disappointed and have downgraded my review to 3 stars. If things change and that was just a one off, I will update accordingly. Also, the Charcoal Heather and Light Grey Heather ones are slightly smaller than the other colored ones I have, but not enough to bother me.

do run a bit large, but after one wash perfect fit! only negative thing is they are sold out....

Fit was great. Material is good, color is what was expected, makes a great basic.

I am 5ft 1in, 105 lbs. These are comfortable, basic cotton tank tops. The fabric is a good thickness, not thick enough to be hot or thin enough to be transparent or clingy. I bought in small & x-small. I kept the x-small & gave the small to a more endowed friend.IDK why I didn't take a frontal view, but it easily covers a regular bra at the neckline & straps as well as the underarm, while still being loose enough to be comfortable.These are good basic tanks for wearing alone or layering. I am happy with this purchase.

I am 5'7 and a 175 lbs senior. I first ordered the XL in Coral Orange/Golden Yellow. They fit, but I thought if they shrink up at all after laundering, they will be a bit too small for me. I then ordered 2 more sets in XXL for comparison--Coral Orange/Golden Yellow and Clay/Light Pink. I wanted the XXL to give me a bit more room in the bust and tummy without making the armholes a lot larger. Looser clothing is cooler in this horrible heat and humidity, and looser clothing is more flattering to someone my age and weight.The XL:The armholes on the XL were okay, but I did see the "wings" a lot of other reviewers mentioned. If the XL had a bit more room in the bust and tummy with the same size armholes and perhaps an extra 1.5" in length, they would be more of a "perfect fit" for me.The XXL:The two XXL sets (each set shipped from totally different locations in the U.S.) fit very differently from one another. The XXL Coral Orange/Golden Yellow was very, very, slightly larger than the XL. The difference helped, but it is still not the fit I hoped for. I still think they would be too small if they shrink at all However, I think I am going to keep them ONLY because I really need some tank tops NOW due to the extremely hot and humid weather.The XXL Clay/Golden Yellow set was a different story altogether.The XXL Clay/Golden Yellow set had the roomy fit in the bust and tummy that I wanted, and it had the longer length I hoped for, too, but the armholes were far too large. If I raised my arms, anyone could have seen inside these tanks without even trying. I figured I could tack the armholes pretty easily to make a near perfect fit for me because this set was large enough in the bust and tummy that if it shrunk slightly, it would still fit well aside from the arm holes.However, this XXL set in Clay/Golden Yellow were missing their tags and looked as though they had already been returned once or twice already, so back they went for this reason alone. I do not mind tacking under the armholes to achieve a better fit, but if I order a new garment(s), I expect it/them to arrive with tags on them. I am so disappointed in this set because overall, it was the best fitting set of the two XXL sets I ordered. I could have tacked the armholes and been satisfied with the fit if only they arrived looking "brand new."Colours:The colours mainly looked exactly like the photos---yea!!! The "Light Pink" in the Clay/Light Pink set looked like a very light lilac to me instead of light pink, but that was not a problem---close enough. Lilac is a better colour on me anyway. My skin has too much olive in it to work really well with true Pink.Fabric:They all seemed to be all cotton---yea!!! They were not super sheer, but they were not totally opaque either. If I wanted to wear these in public in daylight, I would definitely need to wear a bra underneath or a jacket over them. However, since I bought them primarily to walk my dog around the neighbourhood at night in triple digit heat, not many people will see me very well in the dark, so I am not overly concerned about the thickness. The t-shirts I normally wear have been too hot in this weather. I definitely needed something sleeveless and cotton, and these fit my brief.To sum up, if your bust is 43"-44", and if you are in the 170-175 lb weight range, the XL should fit, BUT there will be no extra room if you put on any weight or if they shrink after washing. Also, remember that the marked size and fit will vary depending on the colours you order. I suppose this is because different colour sets are made in totally different venues. The sizes are very inconsistent, and it makes me wonder who sews up these pieces, you know? It is not that difficult to be consistent size-wise. A myriad of clothing manufacturers did it for most of my life (I am a senior now). If companies in the '60s, '70s, and '80s could have consistent sizing no matter which company made the clothing, then I see no reason why ONE maker of these tanks cannot achieve size consistency.In any case, being 100% cotton, they are not very stretchy, so keep this in mind as well. If you like a truly loose fit, and/or you suspect that you might put on a few pounds in the foreseeable future, then you may want to opt for the XXL, but be prepared to tack up the arm holes because they are way, way too large.I do NOT recommend putting these 100% cotton tank tops in a dryer, folks--they would likely shrink by at least 2 sizes. Cold wash and line dry them only! I have washed mine once so far, and the colours stood up fine to a cold wash and a line dry. If they shrunk at all, it was minimal. If only the arm holes on the XXL were a good bit smaller, the XXL would be the perfect fit for me because the fit around my bust and tummy is loose and comfortable, and the neckline i low enough not to feel I am choking, which is what happened with every single XXL t-shirt I ordered on Amazon. The t-shirts in XXL are very large, yet the neck holes almost strangle you. With these tanks in XXL, the neck hole is roomy enough to be very comfortable and to allow wearing a pendant or some sort of necklace. Once again, if ONLY the arm holes were much smaller on the XXL.....The XL's length is fine, but it would be a tad nicer in my opinion if it were about 1.5" longer, which is one reason I sized up to XXL.The cotton material is okay---not super high quality pima cotton or anything, but not the bandana THIN stuff from China that I usually see here on Amazon in shirts, dresses, skirts, etc. If you want to these tanks in daylight where people will see you, and if you are a modest woman, then you will definitely want to wear a bra and/or a jacket because the cotton is not that thick, and the arm holes are HUGE.The XXL is just marginally larger than the XL in one colour set and a lot larger in the other colour set. So, do not expect that all colour sets labelled the same size to actually be the same size. XXL in one colour combination may fit a lot smaller than in another colour combination. Clay/Light Pink in XXL fit me a good bit larger than Coral Orange/Yellow in XXL for example. These are the only two colour combinations I ordered, so I cannot speak to how the other colour combinations run size-wise, but be prepared for size inconsistency.There is too much inconsistency in sizing in these tank tops. Sadly, this is true with so much clothing these days. Quality control is abysmally lacking. This is the big reason why I am always so hesitant to order clothing on Amazon--poor quality control and prices much higher than they should be for the quality. However, I hate to shop in stores anymore, which is why I occasionally order clothing on Amazon, but I may have to overcome my in-store shopping aversion in future in order to get a better fit for a price more commensurate with the garment's quality. The quality of these tanks is no better and perhaps a bit less than you could find at Walmart, but the prices here are higher than you could find at Walmart in my experience.Honestly, for what these are, I think a set is really worth no more than $14 MAX, and probably closer to $10. With moderate use (absolutely maximum 4 wearings per month for each piece), washed in cold water, and line dried, I imagine these tank tops would wear for 2 seasons, possibly 3 seasons at most. You will not be able to hand them down to anyone like families could do in decades gone by or pass them on to charity after a season or two.The stitching is not bad, but it is not super solid either, so be prepared with a needle and thread just in case. I realise I sound like a golden oldie here (I am!), but in my day, if you needed a certain size in clothing such as Small, Medium, Large, etc., in any garment made by any maker, the sizes were consistent across the board no matter who manufactured them. If you needed a size small blouse, you could shop size small blouses anywhere by any maker, and the size would be consistent. The same was true for shoes. If you wore a size 7B shoe, for example, you could shop shoes in that size made by any number of makers at any shoe store in town, and size 7B would be consistent everywhere you shopped. You would not wear a 7B in one manufacturer's shoes and an 8.5B in another manufactuer's shoes. Also, in the good ole days, the quality of the material, buttons, zippers, stitching, etc., was all good enough that you could pass down garments in your family or donate them to the charity shop after a season or two as decent, wearable clothing someone else could wear with dignity. Those days are long gone, though, and more is the pity. We are all basically paying for 1-2 season throw away clothing--unfit to hand down to another younger generation or donate to charity after wearing for one season.For the price point of $25.75 per set with tax included, I give these tanks a 5 to 5.5 out of 10. The quality control is just not there, but the colours are very nice indeed, and the material is decent--more opaque than a bandana but not nearly as nice as a high quality pima cotton. If only they could get the sizing right from one colour set to another, and if only they could fix the humongous arm holes, these tanks would be a very good buy at $10-$12 per set.I hope this review will help others find their correct size and help them to be be prepared for what arrives size-wise.ETA: 02 May 24The tanks went on sale for about $6 per set a few days ago. They are definitely worth $6 per set, so I ordered several sets, over $50 worth. The colours are still great, and the fabric is still decent. The problem, once again, is the fit. After last year's experience, I ordered XXL in all colours. This time the armholes were so large that the bottom of the arm holes fell at mid waist wait on me. Without even moving my arms, looking from the side, anyone could see my breasts. Had to send them ALL back.By this time, all of the colours I had ordered were out of stock. Nothing was left but white/white, burgundy/pink, and light yellow/golden yellow, and only one colour set of those three was available in XL. I ordered it, but I really have no idea what to expect. The arm holes in the XL may once again be a better fit, but the rest of the fit may be a little to snug for me as I like a loose fit. I do not know if they will get all of the colours back in stock for the same sale price or not, probably not. Either they are discontinuing this line, or they wanted to totally clear out old stock before restocking. Who knows?So disappointing...... I am so SICK and TIRED of the size inconsistencies in Amazon clothing. Lowering the rating from 4 stars to 3 stars for this one reason alone.Now, I have the aggravation of loading up $50+ worth of tank tops and driving them into town to the UPS store to go back. Of course I will try to do more than one thing the day I drive into town so that I am not making a trip for this one reason only, but still, I might not have driven into town again for quite a while if not for this. Still, I find it is best if something needs to be returned to do it as soon as possible. Otherwise, you could miss the deadline if you lose track of the days, and until you do return the item(s), the charge is sitting on your card, and you have to pay it until send back the item(s) and they credit your card. Any way you slice it, this is both a huge disappointment and and a royal pain in the neck.

I love these camis! They are in a nice fabric and they are true to size.
