RinnaiV65eN Natural Gas Tankless Hot Water Heater, 6.5 GPM

Q: Does this unit come with controller? rinnai tech said i needed a mc-91-2us controller? do i need to buy separate?

I bought model V65EN. It came with a wired digital controller. The installer did not run the wire into the house and mount the controller indoors. He simply set the controller at 120 degrees and left the controller inside the unit. If I want to change the temp, I have to take the cover of the unit.

Q: Does this come with a cord for electrical connection?

No it doesn't. However, the electrical connection only handles the control circuit which represents a very small load. Use #14 awg (typical extension cord with ground).

Q: Do you need to make a special box for it to keep it out of the rain or anything? It's under an overhang, but with wind it'll probably get rained on.

Mine is attached to the house out in the open with no issues. So far it's had snow and lots of rain on it and it's working fine.

Q: What happens with the condensation?

I've never noticed any condensation.
