Adorable but straps are the weak spot
UPDATE: After 1.5 years the bag is being retired. Around the 1 year mark the straps pulled free of the bottom stitches; I was able to repair with some black strap material I had laying around. Then the "beak" magnet closure ripped free from the body of the bag; I was able to temporarily fix it with super glue, but now it's finally ripped free of that as well. Leaving as 4-stars because it really is the perfect little day bag and the compliments were endless, and I knew from the start I'd be lucky if it lasted a year.As others said, these straps are awful. Mine started fraying at the D-ring within the first week of use and with a few homemade efforts I was able to keep them functional, but only barely. It's a shame because the actual backpack is well made and extremely cute and I have received many compliments on it. This is a classic case of "you get what you pay for"-- I might go ahead and replace the straps with something sturdier. A smaller but still annoying note is that the metal piece for adjusting the straps doesn't work. I had to put safety pins in the straps that would catch on the metal piece so they would not just slip all the way out.Besides those issues, the color has stayed well, the material isn't flaking, the gold thread looks fantastic, and it holds just about everything I need I'd need in a purse.

It's true it falls apart quickly
Some of the threads on top are pulling out even tho there's no stress on it + there's white scuff marks on the top on both the flap & under the flap on the head. I figured it would be the straps that would fall apart first due to what others have reported, but so far they've been hanging in there very well. I bought the purse because it was super cute & I just wanted to own it awhile before it fell apart. Definitely get it if you want something cute, but understand it has no staying power.

Worth it.
After a year and a half of every day use, the zipper on this poor bag finally gave out. I tend to rough on bags and this thing survived so much abuse. If you're not sure if you should buy it, do it. I absolutely will be buying another one.

Cute but too small
When I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised to see that the item actually looked like what is advertised and is as cute or cuter so would give it a 5 star rating. Unfortunately, this does not accommodate a 10.2 IPAD so am disappointed because I really like the backpack itself. When you look at the picture of the lady holding the owl bag in front of her, it does appear to be good-sized but don't let that fool you; wallet, keys, cellphone, some papers is about the most you'll squeeze into this owl-bag, nothing heavy though, I don't believe it will stand the test of time.
