I'm not especially fussy about my nails, but I am a guitar player and they need to be maintained at reasonable lengths to play. I don't care about the ridges that began showing up at some point, so honing and polishing are not on my radar for nail maintenance. However, I'm getting older (60s) and my nails often will crack or split, which requires some cleanup. For as long as I can remember I've made due with cheap little nail clippers and their built-in files. My wife gave me a diamond nail file, and works, but it leaves my nails feeling rough, though they are good for removing a lot of nail material in a hurry. And then I purchased this crystal-glass file on a whim and it has exceeded my expectations. It's finer than the emery boards but has enough "grit" to file and shape my nails, and it's supposed to last longer. I love the smooth feel of the glass "grit" on my nails. Some have compared it to nails on a blackboard, but I don't feel that. This file is a real revelation. It's more expensive than emery boards, but is definitely worth it. Now, if I drop the file and it beaks, I might change my mind, but right now I'm loving it. Update after 5 and a half months: I still love this nail file. I use it exclusively to maintain my nails, rarely resorting to clippers unless I’m in a hurry. And I haven’t dropped it once. It feels heavy in the hand; I suspect it would survive a fall on a hardwood floor, and certainly on carpeting. Not sure about a stone floor. Also, I’ve noticed no wear to the grit. My file still looks and performs like it’s new. Maintenance is gently rubbing it with soap and water and air dry after use. I can’t recommend it too highly.

Phenomenal file. If you haven't tried a glass nail file, do so now. No more rough nails from emery board files. I haven't had a nail split since starting to use the GermainiKure glass nail file a few weeks ago.

I’ve had this nail file for a few months and I really love it. I use it weekly to shape my nails and toenails and it works well. I’m not a pro at shaping my nails but I’m happy with how this file works. It doesn’t leave my nails weak or brittle. I use isopropyl to disinfect the file after each use with no issue.

I lost the little sheath it came in, which is a shame, but the file itself has really been nice! It's not too scratchy and it doesnt destroy your nail bed when you get it at a weird angle. Very pleased

This is an interesting product. I ordered it because I have thin, brittle nails, and many nail files/emery boards are too coarse and tear my nails. This file is super gentle, so gentle that I’m not sure it would work for people with “normal” nails. For me, it does a good job of gently smoothing rough edges. It’s very small, and I sometimes have a problem handling it with my arthritic hands. On the whole, I think I like it.

This is the BEST nail file I’ve owned. I love how they’ve changed the material of the case and added the inspiration quotes. Lovely!

being a nail polish lover, i can say that i’ve tried quite a few nail files and this one is by far the best! It’s perfect for brittle, peeling nails. Found it through Isabella Demarko on youtube and i can only recommend it!

After using this nail file, I'm thinking about buying myself a second one to keep in the car and I might buy some as gifts.

I absolutely love this nail file! It was worth every penny! The fact I was able to file my nails, all twenty, and the file is still in great shape and doesn’t feel like it’s been used is awesome. I’ll never buy another emery board file again.
