I had another spacer that had the screw shear right off when I tried screwing it on tight, so I was hesitant to do so on this one, but I have to in order to make my rig secure. This one went on tight and raised the tripod head hegh enough so all of the movements work properly. It does what it is designed to do.

I have a good tripod that I use for my camera equipment. I recently bought a spotting scope and discovered that it wouldn't fit my tripod mount. I ordered the 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. It was a prefect fit and well made. I am very happy with it.

This is the perfect spacer Inwas looking for. I have a Neewer TH15 geared head which comes with a not too wide but tall spacer, which increases the chances of camera shake in windy conditions. This spacer being not tall will not.
