This worked well as a replacement. It had decent instructions. The worst part was removing the old knob because there are so many variations on how to find the tiny hidden release spot to get the old knob off. Had to research and watch YouTube videos to get the old one off first!

Lockset is sturdy and feels heavy. Instructions are easy to understand and very complete. Template leaves a lot to be desired, get an installation gauge tool for easier install on an uncut door.

This is a nice door knob. It’s solid and the knobs aren’t loose. Easy to install. I would purchase again.

Bought this to replace our lock button (non-keyed) master bedroom door knob. Received within 2 days. Needed one that was lockable with a key. Extremely easy to install. Took 15min. Fit in the existing door knob hole, no adjustments needed. The dead latch lined up in the existing hole perfectly. We were able to reuse the existing latch plate and strike plate already installed on the door and jamb. There are new plates in the box if needed. Comes with two keys. If your need more keys just bring a key to your local hardware store to make a copy. The bronze finish is an exact match to what we have on all other doors. It’s the current bronze color you can find anywhere. The knob is heavy and you can tell it’s manufactured well. Schlage is one of the best and very well-known hardware manufacturers. Cannot go wrong with this product and brand.

As the title states, this fit our need perfectly.It is being used on our master bedroom door for the sole purpose of keeping house guests out of our room.I believe Schlage makes good-quality lock sets at a reasonable price.It installed easily and works perfectly as expected.All this makes for an easy recommendation of this product.

Four or five years ago the ancient door knob we had (had to be 20+ years old) got stuck. My mom called a locksmith who changed the door knob with a US Lock brand one. Well here we are, just a few years later and it was binding inside when you turned it one way. I didn't want it to get stuck again so I ordered this door knob on Amazon which just got delivered.Installation was a breeze, now it matches the Schlage deadbolt, and it FEELS BETTER. You can tell this is higher quality than the door knob it replaced. It turns easier/smoother and closes smoother. I find myself hard pressed to replace locks and knobs with anything but Schlage. Don't waste time with a locksmith who will install an overpriced piece of junk.NOTE: When I ordered this knob, it said the inside is always unlocked (some kind of panic feature) - however, the one I received does not turn when it's locked. I don't care either way but my mom said she much prefers this one that she can tell is locked when she's going in and out doing laundry and what not. So, just a heads up.

Since this is "Dexter by Schlage", and not just plain Schlage brand, I was a little concerned that this Antique Brass doorknob might not match the "BE365 CAM 609 Camelot Keypad Deadbolt, Antique Brass" that I also bought for the same door. But it is a perfect match. Maybe this was a silly worry but I thought I'd let other worriers know.It is a doorknob, has a nice feel to it, seems sturdy, works smoothly, and does what you want a doorknob to do. The antique brass finish is lovely. $24 seems like a lot to spend on a doorknob (I have no idea, but that sounds like a lot?). I ordered it anyway because I wanted one that had the same antique brass finish as the keypad deadbolt that I had my heart set on.
