Best escape room I've played
I bought this along with Kira's story and played them both in the same day, including the bonus chapter. As a solo player, I really enjoyed the difficulty, and the sequence of play that moved things along. The logic of the puzzles was perfect - no wild swings like you'll find in the Exit and Unlock series. The re-use of the components is quite clever, and the way the physical components come together is ultimately super satisfying. The story is slight - as most escape room games are - but the sweetness of the correspondence and the charming finale after the bonus chapter was wonderful.

Not bad overall but some flaws with the game
Overall, this is not a bad game. Puzzles are clever and just challenging enough without being overly difficult. The hint system is wonderful, incrementally moving you along if you are stuck. I like that there is a physical object that you need to open. There were a couple of problems. One of the clues for one of the puzzles was flat out wrong. My wife and I must have spent 20 minutes spinning our wheels getting nowhere until we went to the hints. There were absolutely no clues for the final puzzle on determining which gears to use to open the box. The gears and pins did not easily fit together and needed to be forced. And lastly one of the most critical pieces was missing from our game. All in all, not bad. This is a good game for beginners but also enjoyable for escape room game enthusiasts.

Tasks were great but solution wrong!
OK, so the different tasks were fun, engaging not too hard, we didn’t require any hints and they were different than the tasks I’ve seen in other games. So I was really having a great time… Until I came to the end, we put the pegs in the correct locations. (Which we double checked after things didn’t work.) the arrows on the box in no way lined up with what you needed to do with the switches, and the switches are what open the box, so it was kind of like completing a 500 piece puzzle and realizing you were missing a piece. We had all the fun doing the task, but it was supposed to be for the grand outcome of this wonderful box Opening, and, it didn’t open for us until we went into the hints . And I can’t say enough, we checked that the pegs were in the right spot. We put the switches where the pegs said to upon looking at what the solution was supposed to be the switches were never going to match up. So overall very disappointing. I gave it two stars because the tasks were very fun, but if you purchased this realize the tasks do not equal up to being able to open the box.

Great game, but frustrating error in final puzzle
This game is a lot of fun, with easy to medium puzzles. The final puzzle to open the box was incorrect, however. We checked that our answers to all of the puzzles were correct with an online walkthrough. The final puzzle ( on the box) was printed upside-down. We simply turned the grid around and solved it. Frustrating, but still enjoyable!

Super fun entry escape room in a box
I've now played all of Mattel's escape room in boxes (Werewolf & the zombie one are my faves), but this was fun! I got both Kira & Isabel's stories for a getaway with the boyfriend. I'd agree with a previous reviewer that they were easy-medium with each puzzle.I enjoy these puzzle boxes best because they use so many physical components and you can regift them to a friend when you are done with them.I definitely wouldn't have more than 2 people do these -there's not enough puzzles to go around.

Misprinted Box gave us wrong final answer
After a fairly quick room escape, we stumbled into a really bizarre problem (one I'm shocked nobody has reported). We entered the final code and... nothing. So we went through the ENTIRE room escape again, double-checking each answer. We were correct. Nothing. After trying a few things, we started going through the walkthrough. After going through every step of the site (terribly slow site) walkthrough, we did EVERYTHING right. Then on the final box, the final answer, they give 4 different arrows you get from solving the puzzle correctly. At this point, the only thing I can conclude is that some boxes have the arrows misprinted on them.Beware if buying this; if you reach the last step and you are positive your answer is correct, you might have a bad box, too.I was torn, because we were having a blast until the correct solution didn't work. We were going to get Kira's game, but after this I cannot recommend. Nothing is worse than a room escape that cannot be solved.

Fun
We have a subscription to Fingers Seekers mailed "escape rooms" and do Escape rooms often (14/15), and this was enjoyable. We have done both of these games but haven't yet fine the bonus one after solving both.We enjoyed the physical puzzles, too.
