Clarks Men's Brixby Shore Ankle Strap Sandals

Seemed comfy from the off, being size 8.5 I mostly get Clarks shoes so went with these Sandles so the complaints about the straps being too short, I would say the ankle end (see photo) the velcro bottom bit probably is the error and could have been 20mm higher on the Sandles. Having said that it does overlap more than enough for a secure fastening, so it's not actually a problem, they're Sandles not hiking boots :-)

My husband has extra wide feet & normally sandals like this don't fit - especially when his feet swell in the hot weather but having read another reviewer's advice about extending the velcro fastenings I decided to take a chance. I bought some black stick & sew velcro in black and I stuck it on first & then secured t by sewing it on afterwards - it wouldn't have held if I'd simply stuck it on As there is quite strong stitches either side of both of the shoe straps i.e. the ones that go over the arch of the foot & toes it was relatively easy to do with strong thread & a strong darning needle as the thread could be inserted through the existing stitches on the sandals before securing to the velcro - it would have been to hard to do if I'd tried to sew through the leather itself as it's quite thick . They now fit beautifully & he particularly loves the non slip soles All in all a very good buy

So comfortable. Good width without being over wide. Very expensive but well worth the money.Nice quality leather.

Like many reviewers I have wide feet so when these first came the velcro only attached to half way. This concerned me as I was worried the strap would come apart it Nevers has. After wearing the leather strap has stretched and is almost in full contact. I have some Merrells which cost almost twice as much and the Clarks are way more comfortable with the cushion sole. It is also made of synthetic material and can be washed so no more smelly sandals, :). A quick wipe with a slightly damp cloth clears any residue. I will buy another pair when on special offer again. I have been wearing them all summer so far highly recommended.

I am very pleased with the look and fit of these sandals. They have comfortable insoles and adjustable straps. They seem to be well made with strongly stitched leather. I have had trouble in the past with other brands developing cracks across the ball of the foot, and I hope that this pair will wear much better with regular use. I am ordering another pair.

I love my new sandals. I’m a 9 1/2 and wondered if the size 9 I bought would be too small - but they fit perfectly and are really comfortable. I wore them constantly from the first day with no problems. They are stylish and good quality. Would definitely buy another pair.

I usually buy Clarks sandals and have done so again having worn out my last pair over many years.The new ones are the same high quality and even more comfortable, these should outlast me.Well pleased with my purchase.

Very comfortable and very nice feel. With 386 g (size 8) they are heavier than my light shoes due to very thick sole - heel height 1.5 inch not cm. With good traction it would make them ideal for walking in steep terrain and on rocks, if heel strap were adjustable. Without it my heel was sometimes sliding to the edge.
