Earthy and works fabulously!
I had never tried lanolin but a friend showed me how well his dry and cracked hands had healed from a canister that he had purchased at a health food store. I decided to see what Amazon had, purchased this brand and have never been MORE satisfied with the result. Does it stink? Not really. It comes from sheep, so understand that it does smell a little gamey. NOT MUCH tho. No, it doesn't have all the manufactured artificial fragrances like Jergens or Nivea would have, but it smells very natural and earthy. I could care less about the smell because it did an amazing job.

ChatGPT recommended lanolin and
What a multiuse product, got it for beard and it worked great as I am grey and dry but for lips, hands, dry nose, shining boots, who knows what else and it’s perfect for a lot more.

Great for lubricating tuning slides on brass musical instruments.
Good quality, goes on easy and has the right consistency. I use this to grease the tuning slides on trumpets, trombones, French horns, and other brass instruments. Good value, too since a jar this size will last for years.

Terrible smell halfway through
Product was fine when opened, it had the usual strong lanolin smell. But now, halfway through the jar, the smell is terrible: a combination of skunk and a burnt smell. It’s too strong to use further. I’m going to throw it away. Very disappointing.

Lovely
It works so well. I haven’t had chapped lips once since I used this. I only have to use it once a day in the mornings. And then during the day I put whatever lip color I want if I feel like it. It had an odd smell, but its not a big deal. This is also medical grade, so no pesticides yay! A little goes a long way, so this will last. Reasonable price.

Makes good slide grease for brass instruments
I use this as slide grease on brass instruments, lets slides move when I want and not move when I don’t. Way cheaper than stuff sold as slide grease. You do have to reapply it regularly however but hey it’s cheap!

It works Great to protect your skin, restore softness, and heal dry cracked skin. (Heels and Elbows)
I really like the fact that it is a sealed container. It has no odor. My skin was so bad I used it straight for 4 days. What a major improvement in my dry cracked skin. Then I used Swanson Brand Certified Organic Coconut Oil to mix with it because I would be in the sun all day. I used a sterile glass jar and melted 1 Tablespoon of Coconut oil in the microwave, then added 1 rounded Teaspoon of Lanolin to the warm oil and stirred it until dissolved. Trust me a little goes a long long way. I use it once in the morning after shower (face, neck, chest, arms, legs, extra on the elbows and heals.) and I am good to go. I put the lid on the jar to keep it clean. That amount last me exactly one week. I work outside and I have not gotten sunburn, or dried out skin from the weather. My face, neck, etc. are so soft now! It is a Game Changer. Love It!

Less thick than I expected
I used to purchase another Australian brand which is much thicker than this, and has no sheep smell at all. This one comes in bigger size but more liquid than the other one I use, and a bit more sheep smell, but not too bad overall. Still work as other lanolin I use before
