You get what you pay for
I am just a broke college student so this is all I can afford and i think that it will server me well for a years at least but. however I do have a few complaints even though I know this is just a cheapy ill still share my complaints. I haven't spent a lot of time with it yet but my first and only user complaint is that the square wave is very peaky and ripplily. but that's kind of expected for this price if you really can't have those peaks in your circuit pick your voltage ahead of time and use Zener's. then I have a construction complaint. the soldering seems mostly good espillaly on the main board but on the front panel board the rotary encoder and the main power button had a but of flux and gunk on them i dont have photos as I already cleaned it but trust me they were there and if you buy this you may want to do the same. and my biggest complaint, design. why are all the part numbers lasered off? there is no good reason to do it. only reason is that they are lying about the specs of the device and dont want you to find out. but I mean every chip is lasered not just the main one all these op amps and transistors no part numbers, i mean how do I replace the part if it fails? terrible practice and quite sketchy wouldn't stop me from buying it if i had known but I'd be much more happy if this was not the case. also they use self taping screws. no surprise but itd be nice if it had metal threaded inserts.

Nice machine. Easy to use.
I am using this to generate signals at specific frequencies with any of several waveshapes. I also use it to measure frequency of externally generated frequencies. It is quick and easy to use. Dual channel certainly helps. HOWEVER - when I measure the output of my precision 10 MHz frequency standard, I find an error in that the Seesi counter indicates a frequency about 12 cycles high. My standard is precise to e1x10-12 so I know the error is in the Seesi. That is not much error and is probably adequate for most uses. The claimed precision is 0.1%. so this is well within the stated precision.

Comes with a cheap power supply and does not protect itself from the noise leftover
Update: Seller reached out to me the day this review went live and offered to replace the power supply that was bad. Changed the review to four stars as the function generator is good and the product support was great.Overall not a bad function generator for the price. It has worked well for everything I have needed to do with it to this point. The signal does pull down a significant amount with a load but I figure that is to be expected in this price range. Now on to the dinky power supply they provide with it...I kept seeing weird anomalies in the readings on my scope. I suspected the power supply included with the function generator to be the issue so I switched the generator to use my adjustable power supply set to 5v and suddenly the anomalies were gone. Connecting the output of the power supply directly to my scope set to AC coupling produced the picture attached to this review. It is possible that I just got a bad one but it seems unlikely.

Power-on reliability - SOLVED
I was having the same trouble others reported, having to press the power button multiple times before the unit would stay on. — I stumbled onto the solution: Click and release the power button QUICKLY, without holding it down. Works 100% now.(And to power OFF, you DO have to hold the button down a little longer.)

The pulse and square waves are the same
The specs looked promising, given the price, so I got one for myself, but I was disappointed when the square and pulse buttons generated the same function (pulse). The signal is very accurate, good enough for me, so I am giving it three stars instead of one.
