And he just might love pizza more than you do
Well, it had to happen. I ran out of Jack Reacher books, so I found Elvis Cole and Joe Pike., Finished those, and discovered Harry Bosch. Binge read those, and then found John Milton. Then Mitch Rapp. And finally I downloaded a free sample from a new author named Bradley Wright, who introduced me to Xander King.Xander has more money than you or I will ever have. He has more sex too. And more homes. And he just might love pizza more than you do... But with all of his riches he has a group of friends that he loves dearly. They would lay down their lives for each other. And they have quite the variety of personalities. And, as you read along and get to know them, you will wish that you were among them. I really can't say more without giving too much away. You'll have to trust me. But before getting into Vanquish, you'll want to read the first book "Whiskey and Roses."Bradley Wright has done an incredible job at developing these characters, and after reading the first two books I can't wait to see what happens in Book 3. Give this new author a chance, you won't regret it!

Another easy read
The second book of the Zander King series is another easy fast read. Usually I dont like this genre, but the first book in the series grabbed me. Now reading the second book, I’m still a fan of Wright and King. My only issue with this book is the cliffhanger ending. These books and genre would be better by remaining Standalones. I was already going to read the third book and didn’t need a cliffhanger to draw me in, yet I expected a cliffhanger since these books are chronological. Bradley’s books are proofread and you won’t find much distracting typos in his books which makes then easy to read, however I found the action sequences to be a bit too mechanical reading in this 2nd book, however this keeps the book easier to read during action sequences, as you can follow every move made by the Heroes and their antagonist, which shows Mr Wright really thought out his action scenes to make sure they made sense.

Somebody special wants Xander King to swim with the fishes
In "Vanquish," the second in the Xander King series, author Bradley Wright slams head first into the action and doesn't let up until the end. He also rolls out answers to plot lines liberally. But with explosive fashion. Like a flash bang in the temporal lobe. "What? Huh? Wtf?" Oh yeah. This hits all the action boxes and then some. King starts off in weary mode, ready to kick back and indulge in all the good things a rich dude can. He has his friends close by and is seemingly impervious to his secret life as an agent of good, killing baddies because they're worse than week-old rotting garbage. But he's hardly safe. Somebody sent a small army after him with one goal. His death. King nearly dies. But he's resilient. He's Xander King, playboy crime fighter. Wright keeps him real. He gives each character the appropriate depth and continues to develop each one as the series unfolds. But this episode is all about King and his demons. He is forced to face perhaps the most unpleasant thing he's ever had to deal with. And that's nasty because he's seen a lot of it. I read a review by a reader who advised buying all the books at once. Good advice. I read them all without a break. It was an intense couple of days.

On his quest to revenge his parents' death, Xander sees a ghost.
Another sit on the edge of your seat book from Bradley Wright in the Xander King series. This second book takes up where the first book left off. Xander is still on a quest to avenge his parents' death. The target is in Syria, but due to faulty intel, it is the wrong target. Not a mistake as this target was a really evil terrorist, but not THE TARGET. Getting involved with the head of the CIA through a lovely agent opens up a whole other can of worms, but leads Xander and his team to the real murderer.....which turns out to knock Xander off his axis. This book has surprise after surprise, introduces a few new characters, and has a shocker toward the end. Don't miss this one.

A great follow-up for Bradley Wright
I'm a huge fan of suspense/thriller books from the likes of Matthew Reilly, Tom Clancy, Dale Brown, Patrick Robinson, Clive Cussler and Michael Chritchon. I like to have books that hook me and make it so I can't put it down. I heard of Bradley Wright from a friend and downloaded the first book of this series, "Whiskey and Roses". To say I was hooked nearly right away would be an understatement. The plot was different and not predicable and the character development was well-paced. I finished that first book rather quickly and immediately got this one. It, "Vanquish", is a great follow-up to "Whiskey and Roses." Again, Mr. Wright wrote an excellent thriller that was nearly impossible to put down. If you like suspense and non-stop action, this is the series for you. Can't wait for the next one to come out!

Better not plan on housekeeping or meals once you turn the first page
I saw on FB a new author Bradley Wright, I looked at book 1 Whiskey and Roses and had just finished C.J. Lyon’s newest book Beacon Falls. Wanting something along those lines but with a little more action I ordered Whiskey and Roses. WOW, page one has you hooked. Alexander King known as Xander to his friends, leads an interesting life. From being a very rich man with a horse Kings Ransom getting ready to run in the Kentucky Derby to a side life of revenging the evil individuals from this world. All the while searching for her murdered his parents.Fast forward to book 2, Vanquish when once again Xander, Sam and Kyle are just recovering in Las Vegas and moving to his yacht in the Virgin Islands when an unexpected attack puts Xander into the hospital. What follows will lead you into the depth of lies and betrayals. While other reviews compared Xander to Harry Bosch or Jack Reacher. After thinking I feel he falls more into a mixture of David Baldacci’s Will Robbie or John Puller. All I know is please do not plan on doing anything else when you turn that first page. Mr. Wright has captured you and you will keep turning those pages and leaves you wanting more.

Thoroughly enjoyable read
If you like adventure then here is a rip-roaring adventure to follow. The great characters are likeable and so real you feel you'd recognise them instantly if you met them. However, you'd probably have bullets flying overhead if you did! The unexpected twists and turns keep the suspense till the end.

Pure class
Just finished the two books in this series, and can't wait for kings ransom to be published! A fantastic story about xander a killer of bad guys with a heart of gold, he is also a heart breaker, but a very skilled fighter! I truely loved the two books, and I very highly recommend them to lovers of action thrillers! You I promise will not be disappointed!

Phew!!
I've heard of a fast paced! But this story travels at the speed of light, with the hero Xander ( and pals ) making Superman look sluggish, in speed and action. Having said all that, it's a good entertaining holiday read with plenty of action.

Wow
I started reading this book late one evening and was so enthralled that I continued until the late early hours of the following day. I have to say that it was one of the best books I have read in a very long time. Keep up the good work Bradley.
