This expansion took our already beloved Carcassonne experience to the next level. We’ve collected nearly every expansion available, and The Princess & The Dragon adds a fantastic element of chaos, strategy, and fun that shakes up the standard gameplay in the best way. The dragon adds a delightful unpredictability that keeps everyone on their toes, while the princess tile introduces unique decision-making moments that make each turn more dynamic. It's especially great when playing with family or friends who are already familiar with the core game and want something new without learning an entirely new ruleset. If your household or game group loves Carcassonne as much as we do, this is an essential addition. It breathes new life into a classic and makes every round feel like a new adventure. This expansion creates a whole new feel to an already awesome game! The dragon adds complete chaos across the board. Highly would recommend!

So fun! We only had the base game and this was our first expansion. My kids love it (5&7) not too complex but also adds some variety and flavor to the game.

The dragon is a fun mechanic that drastically changes how the players go about placing tiles. It is entertaining to watch as the major cities and roads are built clustered as far from the dragon as possible. The magic portals are a good way to account for the Dragon and the Princess removing meeples from the board. Plus, additional tiles are always great to extend the game even if not using the expansion rules associated with them.

If you’re not a passive Carcassonne player this expansion is for you!!! It adds new dynamics that allow you to get rid of other players meeples on the board. It Adds 30 tiles to the game, making it one of the more significant expansions. I love it and would highly recommend. Base game needed to play.

Fun expansion. A little complicated and I found the rules lacking a bit. Introduces a new special turn for the dragon. My daughter was hoping for more given the theme of fairies and princess. The princess element is a little too competitive for my taste. We chose not to use it. I'd love to see more cooperative expansions.

The adddition of a claim removing dragon really changes up the game and provides a way to control the board in new ways
