Just what I needed
Not at all what I feared. I just kept picturing many sofas held together with tape. My couch is very stiff lines and has some chrome. So I had an eye problem and couldn’t cut my kitty’s nails. I ended up with six rips in one of the cushions from 2” to about 8”. Yikes. So I tried a patch kids with glue and coloring. It looked ok but in the sun you could see everything. So I gave up and decided to try this tape. It got better instantly. With three slightly overlapping strips the pleather has just the right look to fit in.

Looks a lot better than duck tape.
Looks like pleather but I wish it had the grains cause it’s smooth. I laid it down on the middle console of my BMW and it’s realky sticks wel. No one has noticed

Works very well
I have bought this product three times, in three different colors. Works extremely well. Hides blemishes, etc. I will buy again and again. Highly recommend.

It does the job okay, easier to use than other repair kits
It's okay if you don't care to much about looks. Wish tape had black thread (it's like duct tape) and black sides. I had to use permanent marker to darken sides, so they wouldn't have a white line showing. Doesn't stay attached all the time I have to keep smoothing it down sometimes. I am using on a pleather couch.

Cheap tape all it is black duct tape I've had it on for 3 weeks and it's already peeling off

Perfect for mending a office chair
The quality is perfect and color match is perfect. Easy to apply just cut to appropriate length!

Does not hold up
Initial application went on smoothly and looked pretty decent (you're rarely going to get an exact match with any repair tape). The tape stuck well and is still adhering good. After only a few months, the tape is starting to fray on the edges and the colored layer is peeling off the backing. I had realistic expectations, but unfortunately the product failed to meet them.

Once applied, it stays on, great product.
The left arm of my office chair began to tear, believe me, this tape REALLY works great, make sure you know exactly how your going to place the tape, before you apply, it sticks solidly, and you will not be able to remove without tearing the upholstery, but once on it stays on.
