I’m a clumsy home cook with a tremor in my hands. I tend to slip and jerk unexpectedly and have cut myself many times. I purchased this glove along with some stainless steel finger guards. This glove is by far the best and most practical It stays in place on small hands, machine washable and easy to hang near the cutting board area for easy access I have not cut myself while using this glove. I have slipped and jerked a few times but the glove did the job and protected my fingers. Now keep in mind this is not a perfect solution. You can still cut/stab through this glove, but if you are someone like me who has a physical issue or you are teaching young people how to use knives, this is a great choice

Item as described. One protective glove with a separate soft liner. Soft liner makes cut resistant mesh more comfortable on hand & fingers.

The good: a well made metal glove. Reasonably priced. It looks pretty solid and looks/feels well made. So I have no complaint there - it will more than likely work fine for its intended uses. I'm not going to test it because the outside of the box specifically tells you not to do that. But remember, kids - chain mail is resistant to slashing damage, not piercing damage. My only complaint is the fit of the glove. I measured my hand using the sizing chart and, well, it was all over the place. I was an XL on girth, M on finger length, and S on overall hand length. I usually wear an L or XL for winter or gardening gloves, and those fit properly 9 times out of ten, so I ordered an XL thinking it was just me having a weird day. But the sizing chart was absolutely correct - the XL glove fits comfortably around my palm, but leaves over half an inch of extra glove dangling on the end of each finger. Doesn't seem like it's a huge problem from a functional standpoint, even if it feels a bit weird, but it makes me wonder what group of people they measured to determine their sizing chart. (Concert pianists? Hand models?)

I have neuropathy and hand tremors and my knife skills are fading. I bought this in every size for me, my wife, and my kids to use and it works. With my shaky hands and teaching my kids to cook, this has avoided a lot of bandaids.

Gift for my son who accidently sliced his fingers while using a mandolin. He very was excited to receive this item. Liked that it was dishwasher cleanable. Value for the money. Great for a chef gift.

Important note: This glove is "Cut Resistant" not cut proof. Like those written below I thought I was living a grand new experience and throwing all caution to the wind, I used my newly begloved left hand as a clamp whilst chiseling on a 3D print with the right. Don't do this. The spiral of dark red swirling down my drain is a testament to the fact that this glove is not cut proof and all normal precautions should be taken when carving! While the steel wool fabric is certainly novel, ant certainly cut resistant as advertised l, I'm pretty sure a heavy leather glove would protect just as well or better. Heart beating in my thumb...
