I’m using it to review some concepts as a new nurse that is out of the hospital for a while. It’s complete and direct to the point

This was my bible during nursing school. I love this book. I took it everywhere with me. It’s even made me cry. It’s so heavy. By now the pages are torn, have tear marks, and so much highlighting and writing. Ive also duct taped it from preventing it from falling apart. I’m always going to keep it. As a reminder what nursing school has put me through.

This is a textbook for our nursing students, and for a change it is one which they do not complain of [other than it being heavy -- well, that's what comes of packing for much great information, good diagrams, pictures, statistics, good index and glossary -- oh boy, you name it. This author and publisher definitely going on the "nursing schools really need to have" list. This in not true of every textbook ...

This book is not too wordy. It's an easy read and I definitely used it for my Med surg classes. The way the waters wrote the material is very streamlined, organized and well-written. basically the text goes straight to the point. I would not recommend getting older versions, as a lot of information changes and the textbook does get updated and guidelines change. It does utilize evidence based practice on what's best to treat. It's a textbook that is worth keeping as well, as most of my friends kept it as a new nurse.

Great. No damage to book

Use this book for my acute care and fundamentals of nursing. This book is so thorough and explains the concepts so nicely making very easy to understand what I must do as a nurse to care for my patients.
