I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I experienced after using your product, African Pride Dream Kids Olive Miracle Hair No-Lye Relaxer Kit, bar code #X003YDLWHL, which I ordered from Amazon a few days ago. I purchased the product with the intention of providing a softer, relaxed look for my 6-year-old daughter's natural hair. Her hair has been natural since birth, and while her thick hair was a challenge to manage, we wanted a safe product to achieve the desired result. I researched thoroughly before choosing your product, as I did not want a traditional perm, preferring a mild solution like yours. I followed all the instructions carefully: I read the box and accompanying instructions in full. My daughter’s hair was kept in four natural jumbo braids for a month prior, with no brushing, combing, or potential scalp irritants. I applied Vaseline to her scalp perimeter and braid lines before applying the product, ensured the solution was mixed correctly, and used a timer to monitor the process. Unfortunately, what was intended to enhance her hair care resulted in an alarming outcome. The same evening after use (Friday), she began complaining about discomfort on her scalp. Initially, I attributed it to a simple braid, which I removed before ensuring she wore her satin cap overnight. By Sunday morning, I noticed severe issues: Her hair had become hard, crispy, and brittle, with patches of hair breakage. Her scalp was inflamed, hard, and red, with evident tenderness causing her significant pain. Your product is marketed as a no-lye relaxer, but these results suggest otherwise. My daughter is now in physical distress and potentially facing lasting hair and scalp damage. I am seeking a resolution to this unfortunate incident, as my trust in your product has been deeply shaken. I’m a chemo patient. My hair just grew back. They grew back curly so I tried this and it did work. The only downside is it has a bad smell. I only left it on for four minutes. I didn’t leave it the full time.

Not great quality the relaxer... gentle treatment is better. But ok

Works well and made my natural hair easier and softer to manage. But it takes time to wash the relaxer off the hair. Had to wash it 4 to 5 times to get the pink off
