Wonderful book. Is easy to read, and it helps to comprehend the new testament in context.

I bought this for my husband who has found it very interesting and has increased his understanding of the period

Context is everything especially when reading content that was written for us but not to us!

The book is full of interesting information. For example, it is probable that Luke the doctor was a freed slave. Doctors were considered lower class in that time period. Also, they had fast food stands in that era, as well. etc.

Bought this for a seminary cruise/class studying St. Paul. Readable; good info for discussion. Gave to my pastor to use.
