Great for endurance activities
These jelly beans are great on long runs! I have been using them for years when training for half marathons, marathons, or just long runs for fun. The instructions say to take a "whole pack" before a run, take as needed during the run, and then take another "whole pack" after the run, however, I tend to just use them as needed throughout the run and fuel up on less portable/less processed foods before and after. I take them on any runs longer than about 1.5 hours (or rarely I will use them to motivate myself on shorter runs when I'm feeling very low energy but have tricked myself in to running anyway). I usually take them starting at 50-60 minutes into my long run and will "reward" myself with 2 jelly beans at a time every 15-20 minutes after this point. The entire pack contains 50mg of caffeine, so I'm not sure the low dose of caffeine is giving me any sort of "energy boost", but the carbohydrates and electrolytes keeps me going, especially when I'm pushing myself for up to 3 - 3.5 miles on a training run, and at 100 calories per pack, I'm getting enough calories to keep up endurance but not over-consuming on the run. I have tried gels and other fruit chews on marathons, but I always go back to the jelly beans because they're not sticky, they're easy to portion, they're pretty affordable, and I prefer the taste. I'd recommend this to someone looking for a carb boost for endurance activities.

Great for Hiking
These are tasty little beans that jump start your energy level. I use them when hiking. Easy to pull out of a pocket or pack as needed and re-close. Taste initially threw me off a bit because you are, well, expecting Easter egg jelly beans. Not as sweet and there are some other flavors associated with the additional ingredients. Now I love the taste, the effect, and the convenience. May be partly psychological but when hiking in heat and humidity, the beans provide just that little push I need, especially near the end. On a 10 mile hike, I just dole out one package.

Tastes Good
These sport beans taste great, are easily packable and a great price compared to outdoor stores. I carry these for myself but often give them to my SAR teammates when out in the field.

Great taste.
This is my favorite flavor and I like that I can use a few jelly beans for a slight “pick-me-up” or an entire package for those low points in my day. You can’t really do that with energy drinks. I can put a packet in my purse to use when needed, also can’t do that so easily with energy drinks.

Tasty Caffeine Beans!
We go through these jelly beans so quickly. Here's why: 1. They are yummy! I really have to fight myself from eating them later in the day, because of the caffeine. They taste sooo good. 2. There's just the right amount of caffeine: 50mg is about a half a shot of coffee. You can figure out about how much is in each bean and dose yourself accordingly. When my wife was pregnant and trying to cut down on caffeine, she would eat them one at a time until she felt caffeinated enough! 3. Convenient packaging. I love the resealable bag! This is a real high-quality product that I take on long runs and bike-rides. We also use the caffeinated shot-blocks which are fantastic.

Does improve energy during a run
I like this product because of the caffeine and sugar do seem to help about 30-40 minutes into a run, esp. if I run after work but before dinner. Plus they are really portable (stick them in your pocket and go) Like a cup of coffee in your gym bag. Taste is good with a just the slightest bitterness from the caffeine but no aftertaste. Eat ten minutes before a long run with a drink of water and you will notice more energy when you hit the last mile of your run, at least that is what I seem to notice. Not candy; keep away from your kids. My 5 year old took a pack as a snack to kindergarten. Needless to say, he did NOT take a nap that day. 50mg of caffeine in a little guy is like rocket fuel. . .

These beans SAVED MY LIFE!
I was out west mountain biking...(this Florida Girl)...and all I can say is these beans saved my life! I wish I could tell you a big ass grizzly bear met me on the trail and I whipped out these Jelly Bellys and the bear got distracted while eating them / but in all honesty this is a story of just plain out BONKING in the backcountry then making it back to the parking lot before the vultures began to circle - only because of the these beans. I was delirious...but The sugar and caffeine got me back pedaling back to the lot. Forever Grateful and may be an epitaph one day...Here lies JG...leave jelly bellys instead of flowers...and I just might make it back.
