These are getting bad reviews because people don't know how to use them. You need to gently press the tip a couple dozen times to get the paint to start flowing.

cheap way to have night sights just have to reapply ever so often

Worked as expected when using to mark my rifle safety selector switch fire setting. Paint is long lasting.

Great item for touching up sites on a pistol. If you are using it for this purpose be sure and get the fine point even though it may take several weeks to get it.

It’s a good product

Although brand new the marker had about 1-2 drops of ink. It was so dry that it’s definitely not worth the price. I saw many reviews saying the marker came dry, but ignored them because I wanted to give it a chance. Mistake.In order to activate the marker you have to press the tip down against a hard surface. Then you have to remove the tip, turn it around, and reinsert it. With the little paint there is inside I got it on my fingers, and by the time I was going to paint with the tip it would dry.Amazon offered me a replacement, but I lost faith in the product and company. It’s a dry, messy and expensive product.

Just received mine from Prime Markers and More out of Mission KS, and the paint (?) had leaked from and around the cap forming a sticky, jelly-type substance almost sealing the cap to the pen. Shook it and could hear the "mixing ball", but after wiping the pin with a paper cloth, which stuck to the jelly-type substance: would not mark, paint, or write. Hope Amazon makes good on it tomorrow. I order some other colors and sizes of this product. Hope they are not duds, too.

Fine tip. Perfect for front sights, outlining rear sights or marking quick detach scope mount position on picatinny rails. Can be removed with direct solvent application, but is pretty durable.
