Would this work for stretching canvas, usually 12 oz. duck? I'm a painter. It's hard to tightly stretch large canvas with traditional tools.

You could try it, though the metal crook in the handle’s neck might make it hard to do. There are other tools that are symmetrical (prongs on one end, rubber bit on the other) and might do that job better.

This is a gooseneck webbing stretcher, for stretching the webbing that goes across chairs and couches to give maximum support for the padding and upholstery that go on top of the webbing. You will need to look inside your golf cart seat ( or at the bottom, if you can view from there) to see if webbing is used. By the way, the gooseneck webbing stretcher is actually preferable to other designs -- will save lots of wear and tear on your wrists.
