Easy install in my trucks glove box
Installed in my truck's upper glove box in about 20 minutes total time. Works great and powers the RV camera monitor and GPS.The plastic is not cheap feeling and no rough edges. Very nice and good quality USB outlet.

Does its job perfectly
I purchased two of these and installed them in my RV, one near the master bed, and one in the dinette. Now we can just plug in cell phones (or other USB powered devices) and charge them up while having them near us. Perfect.Of course, the hard part was getting 12 volt wiring to where we wanted to mount these, but that is an RV installation issue, not an issue with this product.I was worried that the blue light would bother me when asleep, but it doesn't. I"m also a bit worried about how much power it takes to run that blue light. But I forgot to measure it before the installation was complete. If I get a chance to do that, I'll edit this review. There is the basic item, which fastens with two screws, then a cover plate that goes on over that, snapping in place. I didn't use the cover plate: It covers the screws. But in order to remove the cover plate you need to pry outward on the back, which you can't get to unless you loosen the screws. Thus I was afraid that if I put the cover plate on, I'd never be able to get it off. I also cut off the soft rubber cover (visible in the photos). I suspect that is for use in locations exposed to weather or for marine applications where there is salt spray.

Easy install. 3x small holes. Blue backlight.Cover. Great for Dash install big old trucks like C7500
the nice thing about this ie: Easy too install. 3x small holes. 2x for screws, 1x for wire too power..POWER Always on, if connected. but wont hurt a healthy system or Daily driver.. It has blue backlight 2 ports. A NICE rubber cover THAT FITS OK..Best thing is its easy too install on hard spots, IE: like a old c7500 dump truck dashboard. Just snake the wires you need to the fusebox, power supply too w/e.. and ground the black.. Then just solder/shrink connect the wires.. Put the wire back threw middle hole, and use 2 screws too hold the outlet. Looks clean too. I only used it a few times too charge phone and it does charge. Idk how fast, but my phone was dead, and this got me atleast up and working too use mapquest for the ride home. I like the blue light so you can see the plugs just faintly at night. The good and the bad, is it always will be on. Unless you find a fuse on your KEY/ON KEY/ACC. At first i left it on all the time, for few days. but truck has 2 giant diesel battery's. Obviously never drew battery's dead.. But big battery's daily driven.. c6500 GMC... Then i rewired too acc/on. and is there when i need it. You can separate the center outlet from the square housing, but its a pita'. I didnt want too break it. so i just drilled the holes and screwed it on the kneeboard panel of the dash.

Extremely thin, but the back is solid.
The back side is flat and solid. Mounting it on a surface with no escape hole for the wires, takes some extra effort. Plans were to file a notch in the side for the wires to escape & drill holes in the corners and secure it with tiny screws, but that wouldn't work. Being used in my RV, and inside a cabinet, small washers were placed behind the screw holes to space it away from the wall, allowing room for wires to exit anywhere needed. Not a big deal, just something to be aware of.

2 minute install- it was a breeze
First, the item came a day before it was expected so that was great. It was simple to install and didn’t need any explanation. The only thing that would have been nice would to have included wire nuts with the package but we have plenty on hand so no big deal. Turned on the power after installing and the plugs lit up blue so you know it’s working. Love that it had a cover for when not in use so kids don’t play with it & you don’t have to see the blue light.
