Perfect for TSA
This insulin travel case has been an excellent purchase and made traveling so much easier. I’ve taken it through TSA multiple times with no issues at all, which was one of my biggest concerns, and everything went smoothly each time. It’s discreet, organized, and clearly designed with travel in mind. The cooling performance is impressive—the ice pack stays frozen for a long time and keeps the insulin properly chilled throughout the entire day, even during longer travel days. I didn’t have to constantly worry about temperature, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. The case itself feels very durable and well-constructed. The exterior is sturdy enough to protect the contents, and the inside is thoughtfully laid out so everything stays secure and in place. It’s also compact enough to carry easily in a bag without taking up too much space. Overall, it’s reliable, convenient, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Between the durability, long-lasting cooling, and hassle-free TSA experience, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs a dependable travel solution for insulin.

Good quality and effective for my purposes.
Does exactly what I needed. Stayed ice cold inside for over 24 hours which is why I bought it, so I didn't test it further. Very compact and fits easily in my backpack beverage pocket. Feels sturdy and well-made.

Keeps your cool
I have used this insulin travel case cooler on 3 trips in the past 2 1/2 months. Travel by car, air and sea have not given me any problems with this unit. After freezing the gel unit, I was able to keep my insulin cool without having to refreeze the gel unit for about a day and a half. Even after this time, the unit kept the insulin at a safe temp level. It is able to hold 1 Mounjaro injectable pen effectively. The cooler was inside a suitcase during travel and took up about the same space as a 20 oz water bottle. It was a bit bulky but well insulated and held up well through all the trips. The lid has a good seal and when twisted closed does not seem to loosen without a good twist. The quality and appearance of the coating are good and does not seem to scratch easily.

Meets the challenge
Travel Case for travel and day trips, and it’s been solid so far. It keeps my medication cool for long periods without needing electricity, which makes flying and road trips much less stressful. The case feels durable, compact, and easy to pack in a backpack or carry-on. I also like that it doesn’t look overly medical. The TSA-friendly design and reusable biogel pack are a big plus. Just make sure to prep the cooling pack ahead of time for best performance. Great option for anyone traveling with insulin or temperature-sensitive medication.

It kept cold!
I never give 5 stars but the Nomad Travel Case Cooler lived up to its description. Adding ice, it kept my medicine cold when no refrigerator with a freezer was available. It kept cold for hours. It passed TSA checks at 2 different airports. I highly recommend it.

Cools to approx. 0.4 °C // Kühlt bis zum 0.4 °C
Diabetic medicines must be stored between 2-8 °C, and in the product description it says that it keeps it at 2.2 °C. However it actually keeps it at around 0.4 - 0.6 °C initially for a long time. In the first image, I plotted the hourly temperature for 5 tests I've done. The experimental setup was as follows: 1. Tests were conducted at room temperature. I was going to repeat the tests at higher temperatures but I saw no point in it. 2. The icepack was shaken well and frozen in a domestic fridge-freezer for at least 12 hours 3. After freezing, the icepack was placed in warm tap water according to instructions for Test 1, for the rest I left it at room temperature for 15 - 25 minutes. (I increased the time left outside incrementally from 15 minutes for each test) 4. Temperature was logged using Voltcraft DL-210TH temperature loggers so that the lid can be closed properly 5. The thermos was opened once or twice during the test to simulate for e.g. checks at an airport As you can see, the phase change happens at 0.4-0.6 °C for 33 hours at room temperature, then the temperature increases rapidly in the blue shaded ideal 2-8 °C temperature range for around 20 hours. I compared the temperature to a cool box for transporting horse "juices" (image 2), which can be seen in image 3 (dotted line). This is how this case must perform. (You can find this box in Germany if you search for "Samenversandbox 48 Stunden für Frischspermaversand in der Pferdezucht, Versandbehälter für Hengstsperma") The working concept of this gel cool packs is that the phase change material is still water and phase change happens at 0 °C, but the gel acts as an insulator which creates a temperature gradient such that the surface temperature of the cool pack is above 2 °C. It doesn't seem to work, at least for me, in practice. In the cool box from image 2, the styrofoam seperator between the blue ice packs (they don't have gel in them) and the central compartment acts as the insulator. You can also find used cool boxes for medicine transport on ebay for much cheaper than this bottle, although they take up more volume. Look for ones with "Icecatch" cool packs, as they are rated for medicinal use. I would appreciate it if more people can test these bottles.
