Review: I woukd prefer to have some pictures of the food and some words are missing from the recipes but hopefully can work out what is needed Review: So far I have cooked the sweet and sour chicken recipe twice and both the chicken in peanut sauce and the fruit loaf once. The recipes have worked well and were delicious. I did try the German Apple cake recipe but unfortunately that recipe didn’t work out, it was a greasy mess, so I don’t know if it was me or the recipe has been printed wrong? I have the authors soup maker recipe book, which I love and that it why I chose this pressure cooker book. It is difficult to find uk recipe books, but on the whole, I find this a useful book as a new electric pressure cooker owner.

I am extremely grateful someone has written an instant pot UK recipe book, but this book is nothing like the other American instant pot cook books out there with the comprehensive instructions and glossy finish. I am sure the writer has tested the recipes thoroughly, but, so far, my family haven't liked any of the dinners from this book. For instance, I made a split pea soup using this book. I always soak all beans and peas, (there was no instructions on soaking the peas beforehand, the instructions said high pressure for 15 minutes and then quick release, but after following the instructions to the letter, the fresh out of the packet peas hadn't cooked properly.I knew it wouldn't work, but I guessed the writer must have tested all recipes beforehand to make sure they are tested and true. Please, please, could someone write a large UK recipe book with lovely photos. I simply haven't got the time to convert US recipes or wonder about ingredients that I haven't heard of before. Update: I have stopped using this book, as I don't trust it. I am currently using an old fashioned pressure cook book and just adding a few more minutes cooking time to make allowances for using an electric pressure cooker.

At last a book of electric pressure cooking recipes that contains, in the main, recipes that I recognise - nothing too exotic. I found that the lack of photographs was not a problem. My food never looks like menu photos anyway! I also welcomed the ingredient measurements that we in the UK can understand. I am actually going to throw away a couple of ‘false start’ pressure cooking recipe books which are now redundant. Thank you Liana.

This super little book is changing how I cook, i really like the way i am learning to cook more raw, fresh ingredients but also not take ages to cook things... i did however find the Recipe for Sweet Chocolate Dumplings had very odd quantities... my attempt went wrong, though i did learn a very easy way to make chocolate sauce... the book does not have photos, but is very handy and has helped me to create really tasty recipes for tea time; easily. All these fresh ingredients will also be far healthier than processed food and i'm not putting as much packaging in the bin, so i recommend this book, also it doesnt take up too much shelf space.
