As bad as I would like to use less expensive ink in the old HP 8600, the cantankerous old thing is too smart to let me do so. The only thing that won't trip a fault screen is genuine HP cartridges. Don't dare think you can just unplug it and think it will forget that you tried to be cheap, it will haunt you until you pony up for the good stuff and then probably require a factory reset akin to the flashy thing they used in the Men in Black movies. All things said, the cartridge is a breeze to install and fits as it should. The functionality and print quality will be unmatched and the amount of ink capacity is large enough to last a good while.

Thankful to still be able to get the ORIGINAL HP ink cartridges on Amazon. I know when I use an ORIGINAL cartridge that I will not have a problem on leaking, print quality or how the machine receives and works with an original HP cartridge.

I have been using the cheaper non-HP ink and recently my Yellow Print Head quit working. I was afraid I was going to lose this printer I love and have to buy a new one! I put the HP ink in and it cleared the error and started working again! I hope I can use up all of my other non-HP ink without having to replace the ones in the printer with HP! (Then I'll buy HP!)
