I bought this kit for my grandchildren, ages 6 and 8. They loved the idea of making these animals. The kit’s materials were well-organized; the pieces for each animal were packaged separately and step-by-step directions were clear. This craft required a lot of adult participation and took longer than expected to complete. The finished animals were cute. It was a fun craft, although challenging at times for a first-time sewing experience.

There are 8 animal patterns ranging from 1 to 5 stars in terms of difficulty. 1 star was easy for 6-year old, but 2 stars was a bit difficult. The others are probably a bit too challenging, but would probably be fine for 7-8 year olds. Instructions are just fine - don't know why other reviews said they were confusing.

Loved everything about this complete kit for my 7.5 year old grandaughter. The woodland animals were just so cute. With some minimal assistance, she was able to complete each project. And has already made 6 of the 8 animals. The supplies are more then enough for the stuffing and extra needles. Threaders and extra embroidery thread.Instructions with the step by step graphics and exactly what you need to complete each animal was excellent.The prepunched holes for sewing was a confidence booster for a beginner. The adheasive detail parys did indeed stick well. When complete, she was so proud of it and the reward is the adorable animal. Quality and kit were terrific. For a 7 year old, who never sewed before, one animal took a little less then an hour.Bought another kit for my other granddaughter. I was impressed with this item.

My kids had a lot of fun with this kit, but it has been a little frustrating because so far both of the animals we've done (hedgehog and owl) have had missing pieces. They are both missing some of the adhesive stick-on parts. Also, I noticed one of the holes on the bear is on the edge of the felt, so you'd have to make a new hole for that one.Also, I think the manufacturer should include slightly larger, sturdier plastic needles. I bought some better ones from Amazon from another brand and my 3 year old was able to do some basic sewing. The ones that are included are too small and bend quite easily.Overall, this kit is convenient, but not the best quality. It did make me realize I could make something similar by myself with a hole punch and some felt.

I tutor a little girl who loves quiet and focused craft activities. This little kit exceeded my expectations. It is high quality with very easy, step-by-step instructions. I would definitely buy this again.

Perfect to keep the girls busy!

I bought this on impulse to teach a six year old how to sew. The Craftorama kit is well designed, contains everything you need, has video support and is made of high quality materials.As a retired teacher, I appreciate the thought and planning that went into the kit design and the instruction booklet.Each animal is packaged separately and ready to assemble. Contains both metal and plastic needles and real embroidery floss, kid safe scissors and absolutely everything you need to create your animal.I am super impressed with this kit and will definitely be buying other products from Craftorama.

The product has 8 animals to create and provides everything you need to sew them together. There are both plastic and real needles to use depending on the age or skill of the child. The only difficulty we had was that the eyes were sometimes hard for a child to snap together. I considered it a good value and we made all the animals.
