The Key Ideas Bible Handbook: Understanding and Applying All the Main Concepts Book by Book Paperback – September 1, 2016

I bought the paperback book about 6 weeks ago because the kindle edition was not available nor was it advertised that is was going to be available in the future. If the release date of the kindle edition was made known, I would have held off buying the paperback. What make it really irksome is that there is no $2.99 kindle matchbook price for buying the paperback first. In summary, buying the kindle book for $19.99 now would be a grand total of around $35 that I will spend for this book.. How about a matchbook price Mr. Rhodes? Thank you for lowering the price.. This is one of the best overviews of the Bile out there... and I have them all... Highly recommended.

Excellent book. The major problem with it is that the quotes from famous Christians is made up of white colored words on a light gray background, making it very difficult to read. Maybe a white background with black colored wording surrounded by a heavy black border. It would definitely make the quotes easier to read. Any deficiencies in the book stem only from the printer's layout and not from the information content.

I really liked the concise but powerful summary of what was going on in each chapter of the bible, along with the key interpretation, insights, and implications for such chapters. I find it incredibly helpful as a companion to reading the bible, and to more quickly understand the principles of the entire bible. I highly recommend the book - one of my favorites!

It arrived today. I have been looking through it and I am highly impressed with the format and the practical applications of biblical principles on every page. I have many of Ron Rhodes' books. They are always thorough, easy to comprehend, and from a solidly conservative biblical perspective. This book rises to this excellence in all of these aspects! It is going to be a wonderful companion resource for personal Bible study as well as for teaching in my Bible study class.

The book is aimed at those with a cursory knowledge of the Bible and written at the 8-12th grade level. It is not an in depth study of any particular book but a thematic overview of each book. As other reviewers have indicated, these themes are frequently cross referenced with books outside the book of interest which I found frustrating: for example, much if not most of the discussion of Genesis is referenced to other Old Testament Books or, more often, New Testament Books. I highly recommend it to those seeking a general introduction to the Bible, a text for teens to study, or a book to peruse with young family members. In addition, is an excellent overview of some lesser known books, for example Hagghai, which I found useful. I would not recommend it for those seeking in-depth study or novel thought provoking concepts.

This book is like an x-ray of the Bible. You can read this book to learn more about the Bible or to gain a fundamental understanding of it. Regardless of your motive, you must ultimately study the Bible to put flesh on the bones you saw while reading this book!

This is a reference book that gives on overview and some practical applications of each of the 66 books of the Bible. I have used it for two of the 66 (Hebrews and Jude). I love it so far.
