Dish TV HD Box with 1 Month Super Family HD Bengali

I am writing the review after using for 20 days. Booked in night and installed the next day afternoon. I wanted a recorder and tata sky recorder was very costly so upgraded my tata SD to.dish HD for approx 1500. I got 200 amazon cash, 1 month titanium pack and a HD recorder for 1500. HD channels with 5.1 audio output are a treat to watch. I have started compiling my movies on my pendrive attached to HD box and watch them during leisure. I check for upcoming movies in the next 3-4 days and then schedule the recording by keeping the box on. My 64 GB pendrive stores upto 8-10 movies and i keep deleting after watching them. The only negatives i see are SD quality lower than tata sky SD and there seems to be some issue of controlling stb volumes of HD channels ( maybe because i am using audio optical out to my home theatre ). The start up booting of stb might be on the slower side but i am not much bothered by it. I would surely recommend it to all thise who want a recorder and HD stb with optical out aidio for their home theatres. The 5.1 Dolby sound is too good. Extra Benefit- Stbs are made in Vietnam and not PRC. Remember Doklam issue...... Its too good a deal. I am loving every bit of it. Attaching a foto of the device with optical out to home theatre.

Pointers: 1.Check seller ratings before making the purchase. 2.If you own a CRT television, you'll need to purchase an RCA cable separately as Dish Tv offers only HDMi cable for free. It may cost you around 300 bucks. 3.Installation will be completed within 24-48 hours of purchase. 4.You'll also receive a call from Dish TV post ordering. You may ask all your queries if you find the rep up to the mark. In rare cases, the representatives are lousy and have poor process knowledge. In such case, disconnect and call back. 5. One meter is approximately 3.2 feet. Unless you lack the arrangement to install the dish in your home balcony, 10 meters of wire is generally sufficient, and it's free of cost. *Detailed review of the seller and Dish TV After going through the plethora of reviews, I finally decided to go with DTHservices as they had good seller ratings, and rightfully so. There response was amazing. My mails regarding general queries were promptly returned. I'm greatly satisfied with their service. I usually don't order from third party sellers(non prime). Regarding Dish Tv as a brand: I've come across various negative reviews for their poor customer service and their after sales service. I, however, faced no inconvenience with their support. After placing the order, I received a call from their end. The representative was polite and professional, and made necessary enquiries and assured me that installation will be done within 24 hours. Also, she satisfactorily addressed all my queries too. However, the experience may vary depending on the process knowledge of the representative you're talking to. Some executives lack the required finesse which affects user experience. But certainly most negative reviews are generally exaggerated. I've spoken to many Dish Tv reps and they are not bad. Next, I received a call from a local technician. He arrived at about 6 in the evening. Installation was done within 30 minutes. However, I was surprised and suspicious when the total cable length approximated to 25 meters. There's one floor between the rooftop and my apartment. I checked the reading on the wire and it showed 25 meters of usage. Since, first 10 meter of cable wire is free, I paid 180 bucks for the remainder (15 x Rs12), post which the technician politely requested for a tip. I was reluctant but since I'm terrible at saying no, I acquiesced and gave him 70 bucks more. In all, my total expenditure was Rs.1740 of which I'm expecting Rs. 200 to be refunded through GC as promised. My installation was done on a CRT television which required an RCA cable, which I didn't have. I was told it'd cost 300 bucks. As I was going to have an LED tv installed within two days, I decided against buying it. We checked everything and it was good to go. I got a platinum pack of Rs. 750 free for the first month as promised. Then the technician offered me their RCA cable for use without charging extra until I got my LED installed which delighted me greatly. This also played a role in my having decided to tip him. Overall the technician seemed able and honest. Regarding the picture quality: Generally speaking, I'm not really fastidious about it. I've a full HD television now and I'm perfectly fine with what dishtv has to offer. I've been at my cousin's who has subscribed to Tatasky and a friend who uses Airtel Dish Tv. I personally don't see any glaring difference in the HD quality that those brands offer. As long as Dishtv offers reasonable packages, I'll not regret this purchase. Place of order: Hyderabad

Pathetic service, the next day the set box was giving electric shocks, I made complaint, Dish TV guy was making false statements on phone of visiting my place, after much interference of Amazon Service Guy Mr. Amir and after as many as 100 phone calls he finally arrived to my place and what he does was to take the set top box with him assuring that he will take it back in a few minutes, it has been 2 days since then still waiting something to happen. I HAVE ALSO NOT GOT THE SAID 200 VOUCHER. PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM THESE DTH INDIA GUYS, THEY ARE JUST PUTTING YOU IN A TRAP, AND IN THE END YOU WILL ONLY REGRET. BETTER GO FOR OTHER BRAND SERVICES LIKE TATA SKY OR ANY OTHER. Update: they have now installed a Dish Next Hd set top box, UI is so slow, it take 15 minutes in starting up, and half of the remote functions do not work in it. Still not getting what dish guys want.

Kudos to DTHIndia, Amazon & Dish TV for such a nice deal , DTHIndia service is so prompt, there was a local device sortage issue initially but they sorted out that very quickly, you get titanium + full on HD package for the first month, and Dish nxt HD box with a new user interface after initial update, for smooth running of the box , change the stb out put resolution according to your TV. If you found any issue with the software then you can Force update the firmware from menu, which might solve your problem. HD channels picture and audio are excellent, Mpeg2 coded SD channels are little pixeleted, Mpeg4 coded SD channels are better to watch. The best thing is Dish TV package pricing and variety of packs to choose from.

I ordered dish tv online through Amazon. After a week they they sent local technician to install the dish.he had done his job perfectly. Ok. By mistake I ordered dish hindi.when I consulted customer care they sent the same technician and he changed the angle of the dish to get telugu channels. Then I consulted again for telugu packs they said previous hindi pack doesn't change as it is 30days lock in period. As I consulted frequently they showed me a way.If I pay additional amount for telugu packs they will give me telugu packs.Idid the same and they gave me telugu pack.I don't know why they have put lock in period to pack.so I deactivated it after one month by not recharging it and started playing again my old tata play dish by recharging.I regret why am I bought dishtv .
