It's Opinel, they're always good!!! Can shave with them out of the box and they're easy to keep sharp. That's why I've had one in my pocket for 40 years!!!

I am a fan of the opinel knives so I thought I would treat myself. Pleased with this, I have no use for it and has become something I play with at my desk. However, it's a good knife, as solidly made as could be expected. The only oddity is that I ordered 2 opinel knives at the same time and they both came poorly sharpened and I have to finish the job myself. Feels like an oddity but I wonder if it is deliberate.

Brilliant knife use it for camping set so good for folding away. Not used for cutting anything than food but sure it would work fine for wood Locking mechanism is good to use

Great for camping trips

Bought this knife as friend has one already and recommended. Ended for campervan travels and hasn’t disappointed. Blade folds into handle for safe and compact storage. When in use, metal rim slides round to secure blade in place. Blade cuts well. Very happy with purchase.

Nicht zu vergleichen mit einem Schweizer Taschenmesser, jedoch für viele tägliche Anwendungen zu gebrauchen. Eine Klinge in Chromstahl wäre zwar pflegeleichter, ist jedoch nicht so scharf zu schleifen. Sollte es mal verloren gehen, hält sich der Verlust in Grenzen.

Je trouve ce couteau magnifique made in France qui plus est. Assez compliqué si le manche est mouillé (Chêne me concernant), qui gonfle et empêche de sortir la lame, mais pas de panique un coup sec sur le manche sur une surface solide et cela la débloque. A compléter avec une pierre naturelle des Pyrénées pour entretenir le tranchant et vous êtes bien équipés. Et si vous voulez aller plus loin, une lanière en cuir de coller et une pâte d'affûtage et vous aurez un tranchant parfait.

まだ購入した直後の感想ですが ノーマルのブナ材と比較にならない位木肌が荒く味があります。 木肌の色味は若干濃く、年輪？導管？がハッキリした茶色でコントラストが美しいです。 ただ木肌の荒さは好き嫌いが分かれるかも知れません。 ノーマルのブナ材にある虎斑模様は有りませんでした。 ちなみに柄にはOPINELの印字もありません。 とりあえず柄はサンドペーパーで塗装？を剥がし蜜蝋ワックスを塗り込み 刃はサンドペーパー、コンパウンドで磨き縦縞を消し艶々にしてみました 使い込んだ時の経年変化に期待しています。 オピネルはグリップエンドが切りっぱなしで荒れていて、雑感がありますが ここをサンドペーパーで磨き適当なオイルを塗るだけでも見栄えが一気に良くなる感じです。
