I only recently started baking and I really needed a rolling pin for making pies. I ordered this off of Amazon based on a friend's suggestion and I am very happy with what I received. It came packaged well, arrived within 2 days and the seller provided great service.The pin is a great size and is very convenient to use and rolls smoothly. Not only is the design great, but it's made out of pretty solid wood. I love how it feels and is very easy to clean out when I'm done. So far I've only used it for baking but I think it would also be great for making Indian bread like roti, naan and chapati.

This rolling pin was picked for pie & cookie making. Only used it once but this is not a complicated item and with experience in the realm of pies & cookies once is enough to say this is a great item and simplified the prep procedure. Moving from a traditional pin with handles was absolutely no issue. Very easy to make the transition. Pin arrived on time, packaged properly, in great shape. Spent a week applying oil periodically (safflower which we use in granola) and will continue doing so. I believe mineral oil is recommended but figured safflower is good enough). Yes, it needs the oil treatment. Yes, there are many on Amazon offering this product in one shape or another but picked this vendor because it seemed to be a small operation. This would make a great gift for anyone into pie & cookie making. This will greatly simplify holiday times.

This rolling pin is exactly as described. I was surprised to discover the beauty of the wood grain. It is a great flashback to an earlier era of tools' simplicity, usefulness and made from sustainable materials.My rolling pin is serving dual duty. It is used as it was meant to be to prepare food items. AND it rolls over my sore thigh muscle as prescribed by my physical therapist!It excels in both areas!!!

I'm a baking novice having used a rolling pin just once or twice in life, and only for unintended purposes. Pandemic scarcity has forced me into attempting to make my own puff pastry; Pepperidge Farm is -- yuck! -- but it is all that is available in my neck of the woods. Cooking shows make dough rolling look simple so I had to learn the hard way that the wine bottle technique can only be mastered by Italian grandmothers. :(I still have a lot to learn about dough rolling and puff pastry but I love it that my new rolling pin is easy to clean, doesn't take up space, sturdy without being heavy (I wonder if it's a little on the light side), is a comfortable fit for my hands, and I can pop it in the fridge to chill before working the dough.

What an awesome rolling pin!If you're a beginner cookie maker (like me) this is perfect.My niece just recently found some enjoyment in cookie decorating and I was asked to help with the baking (because I love to bake). Being the perfectionist I am, I noticed my cookies were lopsided which would make her amazing decorating look mediocre at best) so I ordered this.It came in a box and wrapped in plastic so it's easily wrappable for a gift. Its SO easy to use... You just remove the sized you don't want/need by screwing the sides off and back on and roll away.Quick and easy to clean and really cute looking (some people are into that sorta thing)This is an absolute must-have if you're a beginner - even if you're not a beginner!

I'm not a huge baker, but I think some of my frustration was that I did not ever have an adjustable rolling pin before. This certainly takes the guess work out of the thickness and consistancy. It's super easy to use and adjust. You just unscrew the end caps and remove the discs leaving the size you want as the biggest. Then screw the endcaps back on to keep the discs in place. Make sure you tighten the ends well so there is no gap between the pin and disc. This definitely makes rolling out dough for cookies, crescents, and other pastries so much easier than with a non adjustable rolling pin.This rolling pin with removable rings is a snap to clean when you're finished using it. Once you take it apart isn't easy to rinse each piece with no crevices for food to hide. This is so easy to clean that I would have no trouble letting my child use it for play dough rolling and still be able to keep it as my main go to rolling pin. Since I've tried this adjustable rolling pin, I have retired my fancy heavy marble rolling pin. This one is so easy to use and easy to to handle!

Getting the right thickness of your dough can sometimes be so frustrating. This rolling pin is a dream comr true! I first used it to roll out shortbread cookie dough for Easter. It took only seconds, yes seconds, to have the dough rolled out and ready for my cookie cutter! The cookies were all beautiful and baked evenly because they were uniform in size. Can't wait to try it on different dough and crusts.

I needed this to create consistency when making gingerbread. Works well, except that it is very rough and needed a good finish sanding. I washed it off with a soapy rag, rinsed it and immediately dried it, but it cracked on the ends overnight. I had to put mineral oil on it. It is nice and long, but it seems like the final finishing step was skipped. That is the reason I would never gift this item to anyone. It's like a kit you have to finish with some fine grade sandpaper and mineral oil.
