Lots of busy work like mazes & word searches. Which would be fine if your kid likes that, but if they don’t, then there’s just a lot of filler.I wish they would have talked more about the difference between a neighborhood, city, state & country.Just a book for fun, this is definitely not for learning & homeschooling.

This book is intended for kindergarten age kids and includes more than 100 age-appropriate activities to teach geography in a fun way that makes the kids learn without them realizing that it is school preparation they are doing. Activities are tracked using stars, which is a nice reward system and teaches them the gold star = reward system used by many teachers.I received a free copy of the book from the publisher. The author has included a note to parents to explain that activities are increasing in difficulty as the book progresses, so it is recommended to do activities in order and ensure that kids still enjoy the learning and do not feel overwhelmed. From simple matching games to more complex compass-based selection games; the book does a good job of teaching young children about the earth and basic geography. Most importantly, the games are fun and allow kids to explore the world around them while having fun and in the process they learn too. I highly recommend this book to any parent that wants to get their young child interested in geography, but ensure that the child keeps their interest in the interest in the field and has fun at the same time.I received a free copy of the book from the publisher.

This book is perfect for my Kindergartener! It covers many basic skills and then introduces more challenging concepts as the book progresses. My son was very motivated to use color as a star as he finished each page. Some of the concepts are tricky so it may help to work with your child through these challenging pages.

Molly always creates amazing curriculum activities and supplemental materials! Her directions and graphics are so easy to read and understand, and they grasp the attention of my daughter immediately. The pages are all engaging while secretly teaching children very important skills in terms of geography and the world around them. I highly recommend any and all material from Molly for your 4-8 year old!

My 5 year old loves this book! He is zipping thru it quickly. Most of the pages grab his attention.
