Excellent little book
Funny, well written, and to the point. Each blunder is discussed in just two or three pages, but in a way that you will remember when you are making those blunders in your own writings. Recommended.

Wonderful reading
I have no idea why Bell's books are so much fun to read and so inspiring, but they never disappoint. (I'm convinced it's a mark of a truly masterful writer that you can't quite figure out how they draw you in so completely.) I am primarily a published nonfiction writer, but somehow Bell's suggestions lift me up and make me ready to write, whatever the topic. His insights are so original, especially the "mirror moment," that his writing is always a joy to read. I think I must have all his books by now. Thank you, Mr. Bell, for so much practical and entertaining help!

A microcosm of help for the rushed writer's toolbox
James Scott Bell has written helpful craft books for a long time now. I confess at first I didn't warm to the super-abbreviated craft books that have now become the norm, but they have grown on me. And Mr. Bell does pack very usable information into a little over a 100 pages. I found myself highlighting key points throughout the text and it has already begun to help my brain bubble through some problem areas in my writing. And that's what craft books, big or small, do. Another excellent contribution to the writer's toolbox.
