Belcolade Noir Superieur - 60% Dark Chocolate - D600/J Drops 5kg Bag

I use these for all of my baking. They taste amazing in chocolate chip cookies! I use them with Alton Brown’s chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe and my friends say they’re addictive and good enough to sell. The only downside is that the chocolate seems to take longer than I’m used to to harden after the cookies are baked. My guess is because these are a couverture chocolate.

Although the package is huge, the chocolate is amazing and worth the investment. I bought Belcolade because I was making the brownie recipe from the Wall Street Journal and it specified this brand. They were exceptional brownies. This chocolate melts easily and tastes wonderful even if you just taste a disc out of the bag. Definitely delicious-not bitter. You won't be sorry.

I had never heard of this brand before, but an article in the Wall St. Journal prodded me into buying it. The article/recipe was for a cakey yet fudgy brownie. After years of baking, I thought this couldn't be achieved; turns out it all depends on the chocolate, and this was the chocolate that did it! Superb, smooth chocolate that's also good for nibbling.

Yum! Good flavor. I use it for Jacques Torres Chocolate Chip cookies that call for chocolate discs. Get rave reviews.

Arrived on time and wasn't melted at all. The first bag I ordered had melted clumps in it.

Awesome. Have used for baking twice(had it two days). Amazing on it's own as a treat.

Dissapointed -- I'm a chocolatier and have been used Belcolade for the past 5 year-- this was my first time ordering from Amazon... the drops had lots of fat blooms - it completely ruined my whole batch of order.

Delicious. I have made two flourless cakes so far.
