Zojirushi Plastic SM-KC48NM Stainless Mug, 16 0z, Rose Gold

This line of insulated flasks is exceptionally well made. They are leak free and the lock function keeps the lip on, preventing spills. The insulation feature works well, keeping water cold for hours. We haven’t tried using this with hot beverages yet. They fit in our cup holders and in our backpacks. They are a bit heavy, but the good construction makes the weight worthwhile. Recommended.

All of the other reviews are on the money-- this thing keeps coffee HOT, and with a slim profile too. The rose gold color is incredibly pretty and when the lid is on tight and the lock is snapped into place, I can wipe down the sides for any drips and then toss the whole thing into my purse, where my phone and iPad also live-- no leaks, no worries. I have a hydroflask that has the same capacity and this thing keeps my coffee hotter longer than the hydroflask, is much slimmer and smaller in the same overall capacity, and is more leak-proof. The Contigo cup is also pretty good but this one looks way nicer and is much easier to clean out. If I'm being very fussy I could say that it's almost TOO slim because it rattles a little in my car cupholder, and the lid does have the tendency to nudge you in the nose while drinking, but overall this thing is a solid win and makes mornings better. Any device that keeps a teacher caffeinated is worth its weight in (rose) gold!

Everything about this thermos is better than average. Over the years I have purchased at least 10 for friends and family. They ALL love it. It's by far the best thermos I've ever used. The size is just right. It's easy to hold with one hand, easy to open with one hand, easy to drink with one hand and easy to lock and unlock with one hand. It keeps a hot beverage hot for the full work day. It easily keeps a cold beverage cold for 24 hours. It's durable and easy to clean. I have one that I've been using for several years. I am a verified buyer. I use this product. I'm receiving no incentive to write this review. My motive for writing this review is to share my experience and hopefully it will help someone find a thermos that serves their needs.

This is my second one (one designated for coffee, one for tea). I have used it for my coffee everyday for years, even at home. I refuse to drink hot beverages from anything else. I have been through almost every other major travel mug on the market, and this is what I've stuck with. It's just the right size, the most comfortable for sipping, and the best at retaining heat and not leaking I've ever encountered. It stays hot for as long as it takes me to finish my coffee for the day. It never leaks, even when carelessly tossed in a giant purse on long NYMTA commutes involving jostling buses, subways, and everything in between. That is, if you follow ALL of the instructions for use and care. If you overfill it, it will drip, so don't do that! I had washed all the parts of my first one in the top of the dishwasher for years with little problem, but the instructions say, and I now strongly recommend, hand washing. The stainless steel (my first model) lost some of its outer sheen, which I didn't care about. But after 5 years of dishwasher abuse, the lid's lock eventually cracked on me. I was able to purchase just the lid from the company website, and have now committed to hand washing as the instructions insist. It's worth that extra 2-minute effort per day!

Perfection in portable beverage technology is here... I'm a walking commercial for these. I own two in different sizes. They never wear out, so I'll probably never have to buy another. Coffee stays HOT all day, warm for up to 24 hours. No lie. It's amazing. Cold beverages stay cold. Add ice to these and it doesn't melt all day. No leaks, even upside down. Shake it, even violently.... Nothing will escape. Lid locks. Easy flip open for little sips of your hot coffee. I have no complaints. Only love. I called zojirushi corporate to see if they sold t-shirts with their name and the elephant, and unfortunately they do not. So, shamelessly glowing Amazon reviews and telling anyone who shows interest in my thermos will have to do for now. I'm a mega fan.

This is a quality item. Took this thermos with me fishing on the boat for 5 hours in 40 degree air temperature. When I got home 2 hours later the remaining coffee was still hot. The double locking lid prevents accidental spills. No leaking around the seals either. This is a well designed thermos. TIP: Pre-heat the thermos with a cup of boiling water for 5-10 minutes, empty, then refill with the hot coffee. You will have hot coffee all day. Highly recommended.

We already have Zojirushi carafes and have found them to be exceptionally effective in retaining heat for many hours. So, when looking for a travel mug, I turned to the Zojirushi brand. I find the same qualities in the mug that I like in my carafes. I put very hot water into the container before adding my drink. That way, the drink doesn't lose temperature by heating the wall of the container. (I do this too, for the carafes.) Even six hours later, the mug retains an exceptional amount of heat. One of the features I like is the opening. With so many travel containers, the liquid can dribble as it's sipped. The Zojirushi mug gives me more control with its effective design. The rose gold surface is attractive. Like most painted surfaces, it has to be treated with care to not scratch it. I wash it by hand. To clean the interior, I use a bottle brush. I've had it for a few months now and it still looks like new.

THIS. THERMOS. I was a hardcore Stanley fan until the latest one I purchased was leaking. Many people at my job have this thermos and I am so so glad I let peer pressure get the better of me. It holds just as much as the Stanley in 2/3 the space and keeps everything just as hot! The lid took a little getting used to, I didn't like it in my face at first. But I use this thing every single day. I don't know what I would do without it. At this point I take it equal parts because its more economical to take my own tea, but also because this thing may save me someday in the case of a routine apocalyptic Subway shut down and I'm stuck in a tunnel with a bunch of angry New Yorkers and no Wifi. Some people don't like all the little parts that come apart- I love it. I really love strong milky tea so being able to take apart and clean out all the little pieces from time to time is awesome!
