what kind of chain can i use with this gear?

This sprocket fits 1/8x1/2" chain and is too wide for 1/8x 3/32" bike chains used on 21+ speed bikes, but it is easy enough to grind down the beveled sides on a bench grinder by using the side of the wheel and allowing the sprocket to spin while it removes material from the sprocket. Carefully grind both sides while continually checking on a piece of chain for a loose fit. This low tech solution that has worked very well for me. Also, the sprocket is only heat treated/hardened on the surface of the teeth and this ruins the hardness, but still the sprocket seems to last quite a while with somewhat normal use. I've searched for 3/32 width and is very hard to find one even CLOSE to a reasonable price. If this is beyond your capability, you may find a machinist to do this for you and could even re-heat treat it for you.
