Per price point, the BEST!
An inexpensive pen that feels far more solid and well made than its cost. Writes instantly every time. Easy to ink. Caps securely. Nib is smooth but a bit firm. Line is crisp and absolutely consistent. Pretty good looking, with nice trim and engraved nib. VERY good value.

Great pilot at a great price
Great little pen. Love the clear feed. Have blue gray green cartridges in it. Might be a little wet but not a problem on good paper!

Dry and scratchy
Pen wrote very dry and scratchy. Sent back for return.

A Quality Fountain Pen but there is a better Sailor I Prefer
I own a wide variety of FPs. This Sailor Lecoule is one of the best in my entire collection. I use it almost every day. It writes smoothly and is beautiful. UPDATE. I recently bought the Sailor Four Seasons fountain pen. It's a big step up from the Lecoule. It costs about 10 bucks more but writes more smoothly and much faster.
