Small but cute
It’s much smaller than a Barbie, but it has a dorky look that reminds me of my sister so I thought it would be a funny gift for her daughter for Xmas.

I want these dolls to gain more popularity
In a market flooded with weird looking dolls with impossibly enhanced female figures dressed inappropriately (to put it nicely) with faces painted with makeup, in comes Lottie. Lottie dolls have realistic child-like bodies, moveable limbs, and some have bendable arms (this one didn't, but I think the Karate one does). The clothes are cute and petite and made with what feels like decent quality fabric (no flimsy, fraying nylon). These dolls are of excellent quality. The body parts feel solid; Nothing feels like its going to fall off in a week. The clothes are awesome and super cute. You can buy outfits and accessories for these dolls, and if your kid is creative, some other toys' clothes might just fit too. The doll is about 7" tall... perfect for small hands. My daughter has been asking me for a doll for a long time. She wanted something with hair she could brush and style and clothes she could change and design her own clothes for. I didn't want to get her a Barbie, and definitely not a Monster High or Bratz doll (not even Equestria Girls... what are you doing, Hasbro?) so I searched online for something that "doesn't wear makeup" was "wholesome" and "more appropriate for little girls" and "doesn't wear high heels or short skirts". I then found a review for Lottie Dolls and was led to their website. Honestly, they should have been easier to find. The designers of these dolls need traction, especially in America where teen pregnancy is on the rise and five-year-olds are made to prance around on TV dressing and dancing like a... an adult entertainer. I feel like the toy industry and children's television producers are just a bunch of pervy old men. Actually, I'm almost certain they're a bunch of pervy old men. I'm far from conservative... let's just leave it at that, but I do value a child's childhood. I think children should be able to remain children during this short time (toddlerhood through age 11 or 12) and not be dressed in high heels, short skirts, makeup, and be called "sexy". Asserting ones femininity does not have to equate to becoming an object for male consumption. Let's allow our daughters be the little girls they are and discover our adult world AT LEAST when they've hit puberty. Come on, America... you're kinda being a creep.

ADORABLE
I purchased the Pandora's Box Lottie doll because she had a really cute cat hat, as well as an adorable outfit, overall. I thought I'd see what these dolls were all about finally! Lottie dolls are indeed smaller than your typical 11 1/2" dolls like Barbie and similar fashion doll lines, but there are many good reasons why I think Lottie dolls are worth it: 1. The doll feels well made. The legs are similar to the old school barbie doll legs that snap to bend - it works very well and it was nice to see that sturdy material being used again on a doll. The plastics used are definitely nicer than I thought, considering so many dolls at this similar price nowadays don't anymore and feel much cheaper. 2. The clothes! I LOVE the clothing. It's actually made of fabric and not that plastic/papery material so many dolls get now. It may sound strange to be happy about clothing "made of cloth", but it's definitely a rarity. It's also nice to see separate layers (a jacket, hat, dress, tights, and rubber wellington boots) which all feel very soft and nicely stitched. There are even little buttons and pockets sewn into the coat, rather than just being printed on. 3. The themes of the different dolls are great and I really like the different activities each doll is themed after. This particular Lottie doll volunteers at an animal shelter and she's dressed well for the part! Lottie dolls are just adorable and have a wide variety of interests/themes that kids can relate to. They do have a different vibe than the mainstream fashion dolls out there, so keep that in mind - as well as the shorter height of these dolls. Overall I was impressed with the doll for the price point. Even though she is smaller, I definitely feel like she is better made with way more thought put into doll and clothing details. The quality reminds me that of what I played with as a kid in the late 80s/early 90s. Oh, and I have to also say the packaging is so so cute - you'll want to save the box!

Cute doll for young girls and collectors alike
Pandora's Box Lottie doll is very cute with a pretty outfit. The quality of the clothing is comparable to other fashion dolls, although I would say that the material used is perhaps a little nicer than average. I'm not a huge fan of the detachable Velcro patches that some Lottie dolls come with on their clothing, and my daughter is confused by them since none of her own clothing has this feature, but some children may enjoy swapping the patches. The boots are pretty and can be worn with or without the tights. The tights themselves are a little tricky for my three year old to put on and she will usually ask me to help with this part (or just leave them off). The sleeves on the dress are cut well and, unlike some of the longer sleeved items in clothing sets, the dolls thumbs do not get stuck in the sleeves of the dress when dressing her. The coat is very nicely made and is lined, the only issue would be that the dolls thumbs often get stuck at the cuff when dressing and this can be frustrating for my child - I think that an older child would have few issues in this regard though. Overall I really like this doll and my daughter enjoys playing with her. The doll can stand well on any solid relatively smooth surface and can bend at the knee (for example, she stands on the table but not on the carpeted floor). My daughter likes the fact that the doll has a belly button and is flat chested. The arms do not bend at the elbow but they do have a good range of movement. The head turns from side to side but does not tilt up or down. The hair is well-rooted and smooths easily after being played with and really doesn't seem to tangle :) I will add that the skin tone of the doll is lighter than it may appear in some of the photos and that was slightly disappointing to me. I'm given to understand that the Fossil Hunter Lottie doll might have the skin tone that I was hoping for with this doll.

Adorable and well-made little doll
What an absolutely adorable little doll! She is so well made, with gorgeously detailed clothing. The clothes knock Barbie out of the water (and we love Barbie in our house, so I'm not looking for reasons to complain about Barbie). Lottie's face is very cute and appealing, with a bit of an anime look to her. About the only negatives I can find are in the construction of the coat - I would like to leave the coat open to show off the darling little fox shirt as the main promo picture shows, but the coat closes with a strip of Velcro, so when it is left open, Lottie's hair and other items she comes into contact with tend to catch/snag on the Velcro. The hood is also difficult to use because all of Lottie's hair doesn't fit under the hood and looks odd pushed forward over her shoulders. It's a shame as the little rabbit ears on the hood are so cute! It probably would have worked better as a separate hat to accommodate the doll's hair. However, this is minor in the grand scheme of things. This doll is wonderful and I'm so pleased with her!

Perfect doll for a 3 year old!
This doll is so cute. She can stand on her own. Just the right size for my 3 year old granddaughter. This doll is definitely more wholesome than Barbie! Since we bought this I have also bought another one! Great quality.

not anything special
as an adult doll collector, im not really the target audience. however, even as a child i wouldn't find this doll particularly interesting. i would've much rather had a monster high doll or a barbie compared to a lottie doll. she's cute, and her screening is adorable but she doesn't match the pics 100% (the glasses included aren't the same ones in the pics, skin-color has a different undertone, ect). hair quality also kinda sucks, you can feel the glue. got her for $12 on black friday so im glad i bought her when i did. but lottie dolls seem to just be americanized licca dolls. just buy licca's instead.

Lottie is a hit!
We gave my 5 year old a Lottie doll for her birthday! She is really into dogs lately so we purchased the Walk in the Park doll. She has barely put her down since she opened it. The clothes are adorable and well made, the shoes come off easily enough for her to change them independently and her dog is realistic looking. I do wish the hair had more strands and was cut a bit better though, that’s my only complaint. Last night, while tucking her doll into bed she said, “The dollies at school (Barbies) look like grownups, but I’m glad this dolly looks like me.” That made me want to buy every Lottie doll ever made! I do wish that Amazon would be more vigilant about how they mail items. They put the box in a soft mailer and by the time it arrived here it was completely crushed. If I was giving the gift to someone other than my own child it wouldn’t have been presentable and I would’ve returned it.
