Q: How does the swing attach to the set? Do i need to buy carabiners or s hooks, or does the swing chain come with them?

It doesn't come with them so you need to buy them too. Either s hooks or carabiners or something like that would work, just be sure they're rated to handle enough weight.

Q: how far apart should two swings be?

I put mine at least an arm length apart as the kids stretch their arms and they can swing side way sometimes. At least 3 feet apart I'd say.

Q: How many inches wide are the swing seat ?

The seat is a long narrow oval shape. 26" long with a width of 6" in the middle and narrowing to 3" at the ends.

Q: Can someone please tell me how far to hang the hooks apart?

We just hung them on our existing swing set.
