I add one more star as their customer service is very responsive. They refund $20 for the mismatched m8 bolts. Overall the product is very solid at that price point.Like: it is not expansive. Easy setup once did it the first. The frame is solid.Dislike:1 parts not marked as listed in instruction. You will need to look closer to doc and make it.2. I ordered 2. Their packings are different and even the bolting position on the cross bar is different. One is facing up. The other is facing front.3. It susd it haus 3 foam tubes. But do count on it. Missed on both . I suspect they must be returned items. But I will take them as I do need them now.4. The m8 bolt is 1" too short to install hooks. I guess I need to get 4 for each from home depot to have them installed. It is like others comments.

Fairly easy to assemble. The four Bolts for the two lower hangers are not long enough to pass through the hanger and support pipe for the nut to fasten. Directions could use some help - not very clear on assembly. For example Number the actual parts to match the numbers on the directions.

Although I had to go buy longer screws for 8 places, it was otherwise a great purchase. Very handy. No tools to assemble. Locking wheels. Little long for our kayaks but we made it work.

First and foremost, seemed like the perfect item but then the box arrived. No instructions - which if you have a 90 IQ you will be able to figure out - just annoying. My package was missing 4 longer bolts that would be needed to screw the actual holding rods to the frame - good thing I had long bolts at home and made it work. After the assembly, was excited to put the kayak away. Put the first one on and the frame bent and opened up - kayak fell on the ground. My kayak is light, perhaps 30 pounds. I took the kayak off, bent the frame back into shape and tried again. It worked but I was afraid to move it as it looked like it was about to bend open again. My kayak is 10 ft and the closest you can have this item open is 8 feet; wish Could close the gap more but I was on the nearest closing point. Long story short, took it apart same day and returning. Total waste of time - good concept just poor design and build. Would recommend something more sturdy or if you are just looking to hang your kayak, just get the wall hooks - that worked perfect.

I’ll start by saying that I should have read some of the reviews before purchasing. When the rack arrived the package was in shambles. Chock that to the carrier. Now to the contents itself. Parts were missing. There where no assembly or contents list. Some parts did not fit (ie, bolts too short) what it was assumed to go. I suggest buyers beware. Not worth the hassle.

It didn't come with instructions so I pretty much looked at the picture & hoped-for the best........ I don't know if I put it together correctly or not. Why would you not send instructions with something you have to build.

Instructions are not helpful, but you'll figure out how to put it together. The bolts for the J hooks are short. They are 1.5" long, but need 2" bolts to install the J hooks. Overall though it's a good kayak rack, feels sturdy.

Was bummed that I had to buy extra bolts as some were not long enough to complete assembly right from the box.
