Best knife sharpener there is!
Bought for £185, & was quite dubious as to spending that much for a knife sharpener just to sharpen my kitchen knives. I'm not a knife enthusiast nor do I own loads of knives that need maintenance, so you can understand why I was hesitant to buy this. However I didn't want to keep buying new knives because my kitchen knives kept getting blunt quite often. I used to sharpen with locally bought knife sharpeners (from high street) & they didn't really make the knives sharp enough, & what ever they did didn't last long. Thus I finally bought this after seeing all the positive reviews. The pros:* Sharpens knives very fast* Also sharpens knives, axes & other heavy tools (haven't tried it personally)* Easy to use* Good training videos available onlineThe cons:* The price, obviously!* The box wasn't sealed (suspected I got a used product, but then was convinced otherwise after seeing an unboxing video online)People have said it lasts indefinitely but I can't vouch for it yet!

superb!
ive owned the MK1 worksharp for years and its been superb (still is!)but i thought it was time to upograde to the Ken Onion edition and its upgrade of the belt grinder attachment. Is this as versitaile as a good set of waterstones? or a precision knife sharpener? no!can it get as good of an edge as hours spent on waterstones? yes and no.With time and practice therte is no reason this wont get knives shaving sharp in a few minutes! it really is that simple and eaqsy to use. However there are caveats; you will need to practice as it can ruin a knife very quickly; it is far less forgiving than a stone or other sharpener. It gives an "appleseed" edge..meaning they are sharp but they are convex and as such once youve sharpened and blade with this it will no longer be easy to sharpen wqith a stone or other flat grind sharpener. You can hone for a quick edge but if you wanted to return to a flat grind you would need to re-profile the edge. This edition has some great additions from the MK1 but not so many far removed from the MK2 so consider that as an option first unless you really really want the grinder attachment for bigger tools or more control. With the release of the MK2 there isnt much different now.All in all this an amamzing machine; bit expensive and can ruin a knife if you dont follow the instructions and practice a bit; but it is by and far the bext, quickest and most efficient sharpener ive ever used!

Final Boss knife sharpener
I begrudged paying for this as yes, it's expensive. I bought work sharp knife sharpeners before and they were very good, but the manual ones took a long time. With a large collection of kitchen knives, and now also doing family members, I had to ask myself how much I valued my time at.This IS the solution. It's exceptionally fast - I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said it reduced my sharpening time down to less than 10% of the time I was taking before. And the knives are consistently the sharpest knives I've ever used.If you're on the fence about buying one, please do - I highly recommend it.

Mirror Edge!
Arrived today and spent all afternoon sharpening my kitchen knives, by the time I finished the second knife I had the technique down. Very easy to use, comes with a good range of belts. My only regret is I wasted 80 quid on the manual "precision" sharpener model that Work Sharp also offer -pain in the butt that was, the difference is chalk and cheese, this Ken Onion unit is so much better.Got a really satisfying polished glint on the knife edges, although the "effortlessly cut a sheet of paper' test all the Youtubers do wasn't a huge success, I think that is more likely to be because I only did half a dozen pull throughs at each grit, plus I sharpened to 20 degrees. My knives are now "very sharp" but I suspect that "insanely sharp" results would be possible with a bit more time, practice and the 15 degree setting.

Quality Knife Sharpener
yes it's expensive and there are cheaper Chinese knock offs however you cannot beat the worksharp ken onion version for quality and ease of use the adjustable angle blade support supports the blade you're sharpening at the exact degree you choose whilst the support roller keeps the edge off the knife in the correct spot on the belt it is a chunk of money but you have super sharp knifes for the rest of your life and it soon pays for itself i do recommend buying some extra spare belts i got a pack of 60 assorted grits for just £38 from amazon usa absolute bargain im set for life as the belts last a long time if you use the machine correctly i watched a few videos on youtube and they helped a lot

Not very good and not worth the money.
The item was very plastic and did not feel robust. It did not work a advertised. It's impossible to use the guide to sharpen the tip of the blade. It left my knives lass sharp than they were prior to sharpening. The people reviewing this in a positive light must have very low expectations of something costing close to £200. Absolutely not worth the price and did not meet expectations. Returned for a refund.
