Streets Of Rage 4 - Anniversary Edition (Nintendo Switch)

Ive played this on Xbox but decided to et for the switch to play when travelling.. this game looks amazing on the Nintendo Switch OLED console and so far Im enjoying it just as much as when I play on xbox. Playing with joy cons is ok, but using the Nintendo Pro controller with dedicated D pad is much much better.If you liked the Streets of rage games from 90s you will love this recent release. Lots of Nostalgia and in keeping with the previous games gameplay.

Grew up playing SoR and SoR 2 in the early 90s and this is a very worthy entry into the franchise. Love that it's so faithful to the originals while also adding a few modern tweaks here and there as well as the hand-drawn graphics style which looks perfect. The soundtrack will grow on you after a few playthroughs - Olivier Deriviere did a brilliant job creating the lion's share of the music. Gameplay-wise the input response is flawless.If I had one minor criticism, I think they should have had a lot more type of enemies. In the originals on sega mega drive they were constrained by a 16 bit cartridge and so it had to be that way. Here, the majority of standard enemies are modern versions of the 90s games yet still missing quite a few (clowns, ninjas, Jack, robots) They could have easily doubled the number of unique enemies.Also the bosses.. there could have been more and have been better designed. After a handful of playthroughs you figure out exatly how they operate and they become predictable and too simple to beat e.g. Shiva... I must have finished SoR2 a thousand times yet still many of the end level bosses would give me trouble.. not so with SoR4 unfortunately.

If you like the original games you will love this you can unlock all the old characters and play them in their original graphical pixels and has new modes to keep the game interesting perfect to keep you busy on a long haul flight.

Having played the originals on Mega Drive back when they were released I was excited to try this new entry which appears to be quite critically acclaimed. The music and game style are both nostalgic and visuals stunning but I find the game play too dated to enjoy all these years later. Maybe the franchise was better left in my childhood memories.

I loved the entire series on the Sega Megadrive and so this was a no brainier. Buy it now

The product is good and the port is also one of the better ones, exactly like the PS5 port. I actually like the switch better because things are more smooth with the character and account selection.In the end I had to return this game as the kids purchased without my consent. But the product is great.

Cette version avec le DLC qui inclue le mode survie, est littéralement un deuxième dans un jeu.Il donne une seconde vie à ce jeu et permet d'utiliser vos persos favoris avec des atouts qui se débloquent au fur et à mesure ! Un super jeu après le boulot et c'est encore plus vrai avec ce DLC.A posséder en physique ;)

Für mich ist Streets of Rage 4 das beste Beat'em up überhaupt, präsentiert in netter Comicgrafik und mit hervorragender Musik. Es wäre nur schön, wenn die Zwischensequenzen auch gesprochenen Text beinhalten würde.

El juego es recomendadísimo al 100% si te gusta el rollo "yo contra el barrio". Cuidadísimo apartado sonoro, jugable y gráfico. Casi imprescindible del catálogo, ahora además, incluyendo la expansión a un precio muy acertado.Esta edición viene en 3 idiomas en su carátula trasera en inglés, francés y español.A pesar de que es rica en contenido digital, por desgracia, siendo una edición del año, no incluye contenido físico para los fans y la portada es un poco olvidable. Con los buenos artes que existen de este título, podrían haber elegido otra escena más acertada.
