Smelly but works!
I bought a rain/ snow jacket on Amazon that claimed to be water resistant but turned out to not be at all. I really liked the jacket though so I looked up hydrophobic sprays and this one was #1 among a list of top sprays. The can dripped a little when spraying but was fairly easy to use. We may have used too much but it took an entire can to properly coat my whole jacket, heavily spraying the hood and shoulders. The smell is really strong. I recommend that anything you spray with this stuff to give it at least a week to air out outside or in a garage. I kept my jacket in our outdoor closet. The smell was more bearable after about 5 days. After another week I couldn't even smell the product anymore. After wearing my jacket in heavy rain and snow I can now say that it is very much water resistant. The water just beads and rolls right off! My jacket dries much quicker now too. I also sprayed this on a bike seat cover that also turned out to not be water resistant and this stuff kept my seat dry. I highly recommend buying it, works great!

Good stuff!
I bought the 2-pack, just to make sure I had enough to do my large camping backpack, and outside of sleeping bag stuff-sack. Turns out, one can was enough to do several coats on both, even though the packaging says to do 2 coats for maximum protection. The more the merrier, right?Dry time between coats is supposed to be about 4 hours according to can. But with a good fan directed at it, and garage window open on warm spring day, both items were dry to the touch in only about 1- 2 hours between coats.I sprayed the living heck out of my backpack and stuff sack for sleeping bag with this, using up both full cans! :)Lost track of how many coats, but I think it's at least 6 or 7. Or 8. Something like that. Backpack camo material visibly darkened just a smidgen, but it actually looks better now, in my opinion.Haven't had a chance to test it out yet in nasty weather, but this camping bag is destined for, hopefully, some major adventures in all sorts of weather.I live in the NW corner of Washington State, USA. We get lots of rain here. Sometimes lots of rain even in the summer. But lots and lots and lots of lots of lots of lots of rain! From what I read in the other reviews, this Kiwi waterproofer is the best, or among the best you can get, which is why I bought it for the first time, here on Amazon.I now have a nice warm, fuzzy feeling, knowing that all my gear and sleeping bag will be protected from the relentless onslaught of wet, soggy, drenched weather one often has to endure around here, but especially in the mountains! Peace of mind.Highly recommended for all intrepid, valiant explorers of the great wilderness.

Good stuff, quick and easy to use, GREAT buy!
I work construction as an operator in snow, rain, cold, hot weather. As soon as I get a new pair of leather boots I treat them with snow seal, then after a few days I spray this "camp dry" on them, and will repeat maybe once a week, it works great, is easy to use since you just spray it on, I just use it on the bottom 2-3 inches, the places where it gets wet or muddy. It also keeps them looking nice, (a good horsehair brush is great for cleaning dirt and debris off of the boots prior to spraying them) I have been using "camp dry" for about 5 years now. It does make the leather darker. So if you have a lighter tan colored leather boot it will make it a few shades darker.Boot on right I just sprayed "camp dry" on it the left boot hasent been sprayed in a week.Good buy!

This seriously works!!
Hi this is seriouy great!! I bought it to waterproof baby stroller shade. I was very apprehensive as in past i bought similar spray to this and first it required to be wet then heat dried and still didn’t work. So i had very low expectations of this and just casually sprayed my stroller’s shade figuring out ok let’s see if this isngoing to work. I sprayed outside and left it to dry in the sun, didn’t even read instructions as i am not going to use hot hair dry in 90f to activate anything, i had pretty poor prwvious experience with other spray. And then i forgot about this stroller for few hours and in the meantime it dried - didn’t chage the color and it material looked the same, no funny film or anything so again i thought it didn’t work. But took a bowl with water to test and IT WORKED!!! The water just rolled down in little balls, it’s freakin fantastic!! Now i am going to waterproof all my annoying jacketa that i boight under false description that they were waterproof!! And some sneakers too! This thing is great!!

A must-have item if you live in an area with frequent raining
I am amazed by how good this product is, I used it my baseball cap to test it out, and I'm very pleased with the result, I attached some pics of my old cap without the product poured water and it instantly soaked, then did the same test (actually poured way more water in the cap with the product) and the result its amazing the water just flows and nothing gets through.I'm planning to use this in my Klr 650 seat when it rains or I wash the bike the seat gets soaked through the seams, I have read this product is great for seams so it should work, I will update this review when I get to test it there.Just be sure to follow the instructions very well, apply 1 layer and let it cure for 4 hours, then apply the second layer and let it cure again for another 4 hours, then use the product after 24 or 48 hours, after the 48 hours the strong smell went away, I'm planning to buy more of these if it works well in my bike seat.So far so good, Impressed with the results.

Follow the directions
I have a large outdoor tent that needed it's waterproofing touched up. It's a Clam Pavilion Camping and they recommend using Camp Dry. It took all of 2 cans just to do the roof in two coats. I had to do this outside due to the size and the venting. That leaves the tent open to dealing with the elements. The first night dew formed and when I checked on it there was moisture inside and out. It was pretty wet. I was worried water my money. I waited the full 48 hours and did a water test with heavy water and fine mist. The water beaded up and came right off. No soaking or saturation. I don't exactly understand why it takes 48 hours to cure, but you have to allow all the directions. Works great.
