Wonderful book for writing! Excellent paper quality; no ghosting or bleeding of ink, creamy white color and smooth surface. Page lines are spaced well, similar to college ruled. I prefer a softer cover to help the book lay flat easier, but could not find what I wanted in this size. This book doesn’t lay flat, especially when writing on the back side of the page; not a deal breaker but a bit annoying. I typically use blank pages to allow room for drawings but opted for lined this time. Cover color is darker than shown in pics. Leuchtturm is a bit pricey, but quality is worth the splurge.

This is my 10th Leucttrum Notebook I have added to my collection. I love the quality of paper and the notebook itself. It's perfect for my research and note-taking. My writing instruments (fountain pens, gel pens, rollerballs and pencils) all write beautifully on them. I would rather spend my money on this notebooks then to spend on anything else, they are definitely worth the investment!...

I wanted a new journal for the start of the year and now going into April I feel like I can review. The quality is unlike any other journal I've ever bought... while being a bit on the pricey size for my liking I feel it was worth it. I like using a lot of gel pens and markers, and I don't see any bleed through which allows me to utilize each page to the full extent. So great paper thickness for the 120 gsm ruled. My pens glide so easily when I write its so satisfying. The hardcover is so beautiful and has held up so well. I think next year I will buy another one of these because I am truly amazed.

Excellent paper, doesn't bleed even if you accidentally spill fountain pen ink on it (NOT JOKING). It's also smooth and a dream to write on. I've bought 4 of these notebooks and each one has been of equally great quality.

I really like Leuchtturm1917 A5 journals. I used one all last year for my art journal. It was 80G paper. It had a little ghosting when I used Tombow markers but no bleed through. I’m trying out this 120G paper for 2026. I don’t think it will allow any ghosting at all!

I din't know how cool a notebook could be before I got this one. There are so many pages I look forward to filling up. I love the table of contents in the beginning, and the paper is to die for. I have been using fountain pens recently and this paper is exceptional in terms of not bleeding through. The feel of the pen on paper is silky smooth. My one thing I don't particularly love is also because of the paper, it's so thick that you need to let the ink dry or else you'll smudge the ink. Double edged sword I guess!

Bought this to have a quality notebook to write in that my broader nibbed fountain pens wouldn’t bleed through. This was my first time using such high quality paper to write on and wow am I ever impressed. I still get some edge feathering with my stub nibs but the texture of the paper more than makes up for that. Sure it’s a little pricey but worth it.
