Psalm 91 Paperback – Illustrated, 1 June 2010

We are studying this book in a small Bible study. The 1st half of the book explains the psalm. The 2nd half is full of testimonies. Very inspiring! Very challenging! Life changing if applied!

Great book

Beautiful and moving

I found this book intriguing, and with so many true stories of deliverance, difficult to become sceptical. I decided to start memorizing the Psalm, and told my friends about it. My friend sent it to her sister, who is five months pregant. Last week, there was a series of break ins in her sister's town, and the men drove over to her house; they were not able to get in, and my friend felt it was due to the powerful prayer of the psalm. The book does not claim that Psalm 91 is a magic chant but it gives background information on its various components and imagery, and how it connects with the psalmist's belief in God. At the back of the book there's a page with gaps where you can insert your name and make it more personal. It sure felt good to embark on my recent trip with the words of the psalm in my mind.Of course you can just read the psalm , but the book, with its background and many stories of people's deliverance from danger reinforces the basic principles of the psalm.

This book gave me a better understanding of each verse when praying Psalm 91. Each chapter covers one verse at a time, explaining God's protection, along with real life testimonies. We are currently reading this book in our women's small group and it's made a huge difference in the ladies. We recently had several severe storms in our area and it was great to hear the many ladies that picked up their bibles and read Psalm 91 to cover their homes.
