Simple, easy to pronounce, all-natural ingredients (no hidden "umbrella" terms). Addictive. Unique?
I must admit I didn't love them from the get go. When you think of high-end buffalo/deer meat snacks you often think of a tough jerky-like product. This is a bit softer, not very chewy, reminiscent of freshly cooked meat. I can see how it may be unexpected or a bit off putting for those used to the norm. I can see where the guy who said it's like "solidified powder" is coming from but I think that's a bit of a hefty exaggeration. The taste is excellent, easily my favorite meat snack I've had (and I've had 'em all). Hard not to scarf down two at a time. Naturally any shelf-stable meat is going to have a good two or three times the salt if it was from butcher to table, that's just how it is. The Bison variety is just under 600mg of sodium per bar, a good 25% of the recommended daily intake so those with hypertension or who are just trying to watch their sodium intake might want to go easy. I love them, again, new favorite (ordering another case now). Needless to say at just under $2.75 a bar it's not the cheapest snack in the world but they last a long time (my box's expiration is about a year from the time it arrived) and are about as "filling" as I would expect for a high end bison or deer meat snack. Not quite a meal but a very satisfying snack. Plus the simplicity of the all-natural ingredients (no chemicals whatsoever) is a highly-sought after quality in this house. And the company seems to be responsible/ethical/Eco-friendly (as much as you can be for serving up animal meat) yada yada. Worth the purchase. Highly recommended.Note: Have also sampled the venison (deer). Very good as well, though noticeably saltier in overall taste and of course physically (750mg). Probably since unlike the bison version (mixed with beef) the venison is 100% deer meat and nothing else. I enjoy both but if you're sampling the brand for the first time and have to choose one, I'd go with the bison. Just so you can see if the unique texture/consistency is something you'd enjoy. To exaggerate myself I guess you could compare traditional beef jerky like biting into a piece of old tire, while this is a like a thick, hearty meatloaf type of snack. It's solid, no doubt. Very rich and excellent taste which makes it addictive (to me at least). Though again, it took a while to grow on me.

Absolutely Delicious Source of Protein
These are my go to protein bars. Due to stomach issues, I can not have most jerkies or protein bars due to the ingredients. These have never bothered me, and are absolutely delicious! I keep some in my emergency kit, and some in my purse. They are a bit on the pricey side, but are still a great value for the money considering the quality and taste.

Venison Bars great for Travel snack
Have been buying these Venison Bars for several years. They are great to use when traveling, require no refrigeration, pop into your pocket, especially for long flights! Have tried different flavors and disliked all except this Venison version. They are dry and a little spicy so will need water but the low sugar and no dairy, and gluten make them a good fit for those of us with dietary challenges. Wonderful for camping, too. I pair them with Aloha Chocolate Mint bars which the Two Bars Together provides 26g Protein, 11g of Fiber and only 5g Sugar. There is a 750mg Sodium but ok unless you need to limit salt intake. Highly recommend Venison only version and Aloha Bars are incredibly tasty! The chocolate mint version of the Aloha bars will remind you of Girl Scout Cookies with only 5g of sugar and a whopping 10g of Fiber!

Product stale, hard to bite and tastes awful.
I have purchased these Epic Beef Apple Bacon bars in a store and enjoyed them very much. This particular box of Epic Beef Apple Bacon bars ordered through Amazon were hard to bite, very stale and tasted awful. If Amazon is going to sell food online, they need to make sure the product is fresh. In an attempt to return the product or at least have it exchanged, Amazon returns gave me a runaround. It stated that the product could not be returned, but to contact Amazon for a replacement. I have better things to do than spend an afternoon dealing with this. Do not recommend ordering food from Amazon. The customer service sucks and you will be stuck with your product without any compensation.

Dry but okay
I brought three of these on a dirt bike trip and shared them with my two buddies we all agreed they are greasy on the outside and dry and crumbly on the inside as if they were condensed from a homogeneous paste they taste okay lots of peppery flavor but they're so dry and crumbly 90% of its body the outside layer is smooth and greasy which is such a weird contrast between the inside and outside of what is supposed to be a beef bar which I had wrongfully assumed would be a singular sort of cut of dried meat I accidentally dropped the last one quarter of the remaining bar I hadn't eaten while trying to put it away and I didn't pick it back up and brush off the dirt to eat it because it really wasn't worth it I'm not sure if I'm going to bring the rest of them on any more trips they're kind of meh
