Simple, Powerful, and Super Convenient
This little transfer pump exceeded my expectations. I love that it runs on six AA batteries, so there’s no cords, no outlets, and no hassle. I used it to transfer fuel and other liquids, and it worked quickly and smoothly without leaks. Setup was straightforward, and it has plenty of power for its size. The battery operation makes it perfect for emergencies, garages, outdoor use, or anywhere you don’t want to deal with electricity. It’s lightweight, easy to store, and gets the job done fast. If you’re looking for a reliable, portable transfer pump, this is absolutely worth it.

Highly recommend for non battery backed up sub pump when the electricity goes out
After seeing some reviews that stated this only lasted one or two times I feel like I've already got my money's worth. We have a sump pump with no battery backup and the quote to get battery backup is over $2,000. We live in an area where our electricity goes out during most storms usually when we're getting a deluge of rain. So with the finished basement I'll try anything. Stuck the wand down in the sump pump the minute the electricity went out and had multiple 5 gallon buckets ready to receive the Pumped water and turned it on. What a wonderful invention. This saved me so much time and worry and luckily the deluge of rain stopped within an hour and I no longer had to worry about the electricity being off. I also used this in a window well that does not drain properly and when it started to fill with water I used this to pump it out before it could go over the egress window into the basement. (Yes, we have basement problems). Anyhow, this works great on that and although it will suck small pebbles or debris into it and stop working all you have to do is turn it off, tap the wand gently a couple of times and it comes right back out and starts working again.

Got an obviously used/returned unit
To preface, I've owned a few of these (this exact black and orange pump from various Chineseium brands), I use these to water my indoor plants and seem to go through about one a year. After pulling it out of the box I immediately noticed the outside of the battery compartment had a really weird feel. Sticky almost. When I got it out into the light it looked quite gross and smudgy, someone else has clearly had their hands all over this thing. Take the battery compartment off, and the contacts inside are clearly worn. Best yet, the batteries basically don't make actual contact at all, even after tightening it as much as I was comfortable with. I could only get the motor to spin very briefly if I giggled the whole thing up and down. I can see why it was returned, but it was turned around and resold without so much as a thought. Luckily the only thing wrong with my old pump was the hose started tearing open at a spot. I unhooked the hose off this "new" one and threw the rest in the trash.

Tube is bent
I purchased this 11 months ago to pump kerosene into space heaters. It works fine but the main pipe has become curved or bent. I have to watch where the inlet is because it is no longer inline with the pump.

Peace of Mind
I bought two of these items should I lose power and need to manually remove water from the sum pump area. I tried the pump outside and it works great. It has an endcap filter to keep large particles from entering the actual pump. During extreme weather events, if we have a loss of power, I monitor the sum pump area and I’ve never had to actually use it. I would rather use this if need be before going thru the generator setup if the event is short term. Just keep extra D batteries on hand.

Great deal on a nice little pump.
I already love this thing. I'm using it to pump water from my distiller jug into my large humidifier. It's a lot less messy, except I learned the hard way you have to make sure that hose is secure. Otherwise 'll you'll spew water all over your house. ;) It's really fast, and I like the fact that you can use d size batteries or six double A's. I've only had it one day so I can't speak to the durability but I'm only going to be using it for water so it should last a good while. I'm updating my review to add that this pump will easily lift water at least 2 feet.

Bounce once
This is my second purchase of this product. The first one worked well for a year, used weekly to fill a zero-turn mower. I give it 5 stars. This one will not turn on until you bounce it once on the bottom of the tank you're trying to fill from 3 stars. It works well afterward, but not until. Never seen anything like this. Therefore I have to say, caution quality will vary.

Water Pump
I love this! So easy to use. I had a manual one and it drove me crazy and made a mess. This one is great. It goes into a 5-gallon jug and pumps out my rainwater in gallon jugs I can carry to my plants. A flip of the switch and water flows quietly and quickly. I cannot believe this was so easy. I haven used it for anything but water and there are a few big containers that are shaped such that the draw tube does not reach the bottom, and it therefore doesn't empty it completely but for 85% of all the containers I have it empties them. It is simple and straight forward and so far, the batteries have lasted long.

I used 6 AA cells. Very good flow, filled my lawn mower tank in less than 10 seconds. I don't know if it would pump as quickly with 2 D cells. Once you have filled your tank and shut off the pump, the gas drains back into your gas can. Very sanitary. The instructions say to rinse with water after use, but with gasoline I don't think this would be a good idea. Maybe it would be appropriate if you were pumping something that was water based.

It works ok. Won't reach the bottom of a 5 gallon gas can
