Praetorian: Blades of Antioch: 6 Paperback – 21 Jun. 2021

Another great read, all the twists and turns of Roman emperors.I just love the stories and then the great summing up at the end. Thank you cannot wait for the next one.

Once again the degree of research is evident in this far flung part of Rome's eastern empire. The geographical pictures painted by Mr Turney are always very vivid. Rufinus is not quite the colourful character of a Fronto in the Marius Mules series ..... but none the worse for that. All in all another great read.

I would recommend this book and the series to any one who like this type of books cannot wait to read the next one .

Another good read with lots of plot changes and decent plot twist.You think it but don't know it till you read it.

Like the previous books in the Praetorian Series this does not disappoint. The hero is believable, well placed, skillful and manages to enter affray after affray and survive to go on to bigger and better things. An excellent Roman soldier who captures your imagination thanks to Simon Turney's amazing writing skills.

Good read and lots to keep one interested. Not the most in depth of reads so if that is what you want but worth reading

Another great installment! Well researched. Sorry to see the loyal companion slain but another taking his place! Author’s note!!’ Can we get a litter of puppies from the new loyal companion?

It was pretty good. Wasn't the violence that I am accustomed to when reading his books. But it was a good read. It did have some good plots.

Writing the way great writers write, Turney has combined action, intrig, history and truth into another book. Wonderfully a masters art.

He keeps the good historical fiction coming! He is just a damned good story teller.

Having read all the author's previous books, I just love this exciting instalment, up to the unfortunate death of Acheron....that was upsetting.Looking forward to the next one!
