Mastering The Piano 1

Superb except for the CDs
This is an excellent series of books with interesting and varied repertoire. I have used this series successfully and joyfully with many piano students. My only gripe is the CD, which appears to inflate the price of the book. I no longer own a CD player, my laptop doesn't have a CD slot, my car doesn't play CDs. The publisher should exclude the CD and offer digital downloads of their recordings.

this is a great series
I am now on the second betook in this series. I am using it as a supplement to Alfred AOL in one. I enjoyed the pieces and they cover skills I wouldn't practice otherwise. This one has an etude going up the keyboard in 4/4 time with eighth notes at a speed of 176. It took me 45 days of practice but I made it, and I notice this has carried over to my other playing.

Needs downloadable music
Book is great. Very limited use of this series with my students because the listening is only available with a CD. No one even has a CD player these days! Time to modernize.

Great Recital pieces for beginners
This book is as a great supplement for beginning students, especially those resistant to adding left hand.Easy patterns in both hands and good melodies.

Teacher, parent and student favorite.
I have been teaching from this series for sometime. It is progressive, has well chosen pieces and is great to teach from.
