Brrrrrrr!!
We have a small room of about 120 sq ft that contains 3 PCs which dual function as space heaters. This room already stays fairly warm all on it's own, just to be clear. The PCs simply make the room warmer if not outright hot. This is great in the winter, as we can regulate the room temp by merely opening the window and using a fan or two. However, come late spring, the temps begin to hit 60+ F and higher this room can start becoming unbearable with two or three space heaters running. When the temps are 90 F and over, forget about it. Unless, of course, you're seeking that extra dry sauna experience and don't mind it costing you a new graphics card and possibly a new CPU as well.So we picked up this little bad boy hoping it would assist us in overcoming our desperation by providing the chill we so desire and our poor PCs so desperately need. This little thing is super easy to setup and install. As others have mentioned, depending on your window size, you may need to trim one of the insert pieces. Our windows slide horizontally and the insert was, quite fortunately, just the right size. Had the window been even an inch shorter we would have had to trim the insert extension so that it would not clip the hose. The included foam strips were nice, but a bit thin. You may need to double them up or even get some thicker padding to get a good seal. We waited 24 hours to turn it on but when we did, let me tell you that the tears of joy began to flow like Niagra Falls. With the unit set up and in place, we turned it on. The arctic blast that it produced felt nothing short of amazing. Not miraculous, mind you. Don't expect to keep your snowman best friend alive year round. But it is amazing! I set it to 66 F, let it run for an hour, and then began to stress test my PC to see if the temps would be lower than usual. The answer was filled with happy expletives but it essentially boils down to Yes! Yes it keeps the room and the PCs much cooler. My PC was testing at a minimum 10+ C cooler than before, even after three consecutive stress tests. The AC unit does produce some noise, but we find it more than acceptable given it's ability to keep the room cool.Later on we fired up two of the three PCs and started up a game that we know can push the computer temps up. After an hour of playing, when the room would normally be getting uncomfortable, we were literally just chillin' out and the PCs were running great at well under their usual operating temps. So we have been running this unit almost every evening and sometimes during the day too. Our warmest day has been about 80 F but I have no concerns when it comes to this thing keeping pace at 90 or even 100 F. If I'm wrong, then I will edit my review, but I'm feeling pretty confident that day will not arrive. For now, we are running it at 68 F when we turn it on and it is splendid to say the least. My only real complaint is that the screen on the remote doesn't work properly unless you pinch one corner of the remote down rather hard. Granted, we understand that this is likely a fluke and not indicative of most units. We honestly don't really use the remote so it's largely been a non-issue, but I could see it being a real disappointment and extreme inconvenience for some people, especially if they have mobility challenges. Overall, a great unit though. So do we:like it? Yes!recommend it? Yes!love it? Pretty much yes (but we're not going to marry it.)want a 2nd one for our bedroom? Yes yes yes!Despite the lost stars for the remote, we feel that the unit truly deserves an overall 5 stars as it is easy to set up, easy to operate, and works really well. Will be ordering another of the same (or possibly slightly more powerful) for our bedroom.

Works great, very cold
Works great. No thermostat to adjust but will stop cooling at 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Only draws 225 watts while in high cool mode, 10 watts on high fan. I vented it outside using a a small sheet of styrofoam and some spray foam through an open window. Cardboard would work too. It will cool whatever’s in front of it by removing heat from the front and expelling it to the rear so If you don’t vent it it will not cool the room just whatever is in front of it. Smallest btu unit I could find that wasn’t $600+.

this has done the trick
thank GOD for this AC, which i ordered in the middle of a heat wave for my nyc apartment bedroom. i returned a window unit that was too big and unwieldy for me to handle alone. this is the right size, so easy to set up, and truly keeps my room ice cold. i am now sleeping better because the temperature is comfortable.here are the downsides:- it is very loud. i don't keep it on at night because it's so loud. but it cools so well that i literally just run it for an hour or two right before bed and then turn it off before i get in bed and it stays cool in there all night (i do have another ac in the other room that i keep on overnight)- the window piece did not fit in my window and i would need to cut it down (i don't own a saw or whatever it would take) - i ended up rotating the secondary piece vertically and kind of aligning it with the horizontal piece so that it covers the window, and added a lot of foam and other insulation around the edges - looks janky but works fineoverall - very happy with this. right price, actually works, and is workable for my situation. i've had it for only about 3 weeks, so i may update if things change.

Worked for a few hours then started making loud rattling noise
The media could not be loaded. The PNW is experiencing some very bad heatwaves and my apartment is not equipped to deal with the heat. We barely survived the 116 degree weather without AC, with our apartment getting up to 100 degrees inside at night. I saw another 3-day heatwave was coming so I decided to be prepared and order a portable AC. This one came right on time and I was so happy. We waited the 24 hours to turn it on and when we did, it worked great for a few hours. Our apartment is about 460 sqft, but the room in which we have it in is about 250. It cooled the room very nicely, but it turned off after about an hour or two with an “E3” notification on the screen. I looked it up and it meant I needed to empty the water reservoir, where I realized how poorly designed this ac unit is. The hole in which you’re suppose to drain the water from is only a centimeter or so away from the ground. I couldn’t fit anything under the hole to drain it into - not even a plate! I decided to try to use the pipe it provides to drain it into a nearby cookie sheet, but the pipe refused to stay on the draining hole. I got water everywhere and the rug I had it on was soaked. After emptying the water, it turned back on but then started to make a very loud rattling noise after the compressor turned on. I tried troubleshooting the ac unit for hours while my apartment was in the 90s. Sweaty and annoyed, I called Amazon support and they suggested putting a BLANKET over it to cover the noise! Now I have no AC, it’s going to be in the hundreds over the next couple of days, and i have to figure out how to box it back up after throwing away the box because I thought it was working fine.I did buy this used and it said it was in “very good” condition - apart from some cosmetic issues. This was obviously not tested enough. If I could do it again, I would just put in the extra bucks to buy it new. So disappointed.

Great product
Very convenient and easy to set up! It cools very nicely and is not too loud. Our original system must have had a coolant leak because after about a year, it stopped cooling. It was out of warranty, but the company gave us a new one at no cost to us.
