Does not work as expected / Defective

I have only had this for about 3 weeks now but I have used it multiple times and some places it is very clear that it works. Some places I can tell no difference, but I'm pretty sure it's because of my hair color. Here is a list of places I have done and how many sessions I have done, the number of treatments does not count my initial test of the area for irritation. Even though it says only to use 1x a week, I have used it for some locations every time I've shaved (multiple times a week). It may be of note I am MtF pre-hormones, so my body hair has not lessened due to hormone change but due to BoSidin instead. Face: 5 treatments. Hair color- varied, light brown, some white, a good amount is black. Noticeable difference? No. Chest: 1 Treatment. Hair color- black. Noticeable difference? No. But there is no chest setting, so I used the bikini area setting since my 'happy trail' runs up to my chest. Bikini area/Stomach: 1 Treatment. Hair color- black. Noticeable difference? Yes! Immediately noticed it is lighter and less irritating, on my test patch right down the middle it took about 2 days extra to grow in and was noticeably shorter. Arms: 2 Treatments. Hair color- black. Noticeable difference? Yes! It is MUCH MUCH thinner, there are now inches between growing hairs, and they grow MUCH MUCH slower. Legs: 1 Treatment. Hair color- black. Noticeable difference? Yes! I don't even know what to say about this besides thank you so much. My thighs have very thick black hair, how thick you ask? So thick that when I would get even the slightest chill or goosebumps it would feel as if a thousand tiny needles were being stabbed into my legs. Even loose fitting clothing would cause major irritation if I walked for more than a minute. After using BoSidin just once I no longer have either problem. The visible difference isn't that much, but it definitely grows slower. Will update further down the line, especially if it does start to work on my face. The BoSidin is fairly easy to use. I occasionally have accidentally changed the settings while using it because of button placement, including changing it from one area of use (it has face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini, and SR mode as well as a cooling function) or accidentally turning off the cooling function as well as accidentally turning off/on auto flash mode. Some of the times I have used it I have noticed a fine debris on the lens after using it a few times and you need to clean that off. DO NOT HAVE ON AUTO FLASH WHILE YOU WIPE AWAY DEBRIS FROM THE LENS! It does come with sunglasses and you will need them. Some places on my face I also needed to close my eyes, it may be better to use tanning glasses if you have them. Overall this has worked very well and would recommend it.

Original review - posted 2/22/20: Let me start by saying that I had purchased a different hair removal device from another brand a while back; but, after many treatments, I was just not seeing much in the way of results. I decided to do some research, and, after reading tons of reviews, comparing & contrasting different brands offering this technology, I determined that BoSidin was the company that not only provided the best results, but, was constantly working to improve their technology. They are working so diligently to put out better & better products that I was a bit confused at first which of the many models was the most recent, and the differences between them. I reached out to the seller, asking for more information about their products. I received a prompt, in-depth description of their three or four most recent models, highlighting the differences between them. I was then told that they were releasing their newest model in a few weeks, which would have different settings for each section of the body, customized to target the type of hair that grows in each area. It would also include the skin regeneration function. Considering I was in the market for the most advanced technology available to ensure the fastest, more thorough results, I was definitely interested. The seller offered to let me know as soon as it was released. About one week ago, I was informed, as promised, that the new model was on sale. I immediately checked it out on Amazon, and was first intrigued by how different it looked from all the other models. This was clearly a whole new generation of OPT technology, it certainly stood out amongst all other devices. As soon as I had the funds together, I placed the order, utilizing an $80 off coupon (nearly every model they offer has applicable coupons). It still seemed like a lot of money to spend, until I thought about how much time and money would be saved down the line if I could permanently rid myself of all my unwanted hair, needing touch ups only every few months or so. The bane of my existence is the endless, tedious grooming that eats up so much of my life. This was worth it, for sure. Well, it arrived today. I have to say, I am already impressed, and I have yet to even try it out. I am so excited I had to go ahead and share my experience with the Amazon world. The product is packaged carefully & securely, no skimping there. The quick start instructions are printed clearly on the left-hand flap right as you take off the box lid. At first I was a bit underwhelmed by the choice of color — deep green & rose gold — but, it certainly helps the device stand out from competitors. The box pictures it in white, which, I might have preferred esthetically; but, I am in this for the results, not what the device itself looks like. It feels sleek and sturdy in my hands, and the rotating head is really going to make a huge difference in terms of comfort and ease of use. No more contorting to reach those elusive spots! The dial that controls the energy level turns so smoothly, and the separate target areas are pictured distinctly below. I cannot wait to give it a whirl, and will update my review after I first try it, and as I progress with my treatments. Update - 3/4/20: I have now completed two treatments of my underarms, as well as a face & neck treatment. This device is incredible! I know it is too soon to expect a lot in the way of results; but, in terms of operation, it is an absolute dream! The revolving head makes it so easy to reach every spot at whatever angle needed to zap those follicles. It is super easy to switch modes and adjust the energy level; in fact, be careful to hold the device lower on the handle during use to ensure you don’t accidentally hit the mode button. The fact that you can keep the ice mode on during treatment really does allow for the most painless experience possible. Once you get used to the sensation, I find it almost soothing! There will occasionally be a particularly intense sting when it zaps a deep follicle with thicker hair, but, I consider it a good thing — finally working on getting it for good now! Who hasn’t suffered through tweezing or waxing, only to have the hairs grow right back? This is much less painful than those temporary solutions; and, as the hairs progressively thin and eventually fall out, the process itself will not only be less painful and take less time, the results will last longer & longer. The treatments don’t take nearly as long as they did with my old device with the nicely-sized window, which comes with an additional, smaller-windowed head for more precise targeting. Once each treatment is completed, you can immediately tell a difference in how smooth your skin feels. If you’re interested in getting rid of your unwanted body hair, and keep it from coming back, this device is the way to go, for sure! I am so happy to have finally found a real solution, and, I can’t wait until I can finally stop wasting so much time grooming, only to have to do it all over again in a matter of days!

I bought this laser two months ago to use on my lady part. I’m a Caucasian female, and I have very thick, black, kinky hair down there. I like to be completely bald down there however, because my hair is so thick, shaving doesn’t work for me. I just end up with a rashy looking vagina the next day when the hair starts growing back. I started waxing 2 years ago, and that helped a lot with thickness and ingrown hair. My hair was much thinner and less, however it is a lot of upkeep, and I hate having to grow it out while waiting for the next wax. I was excited when I found out about this laser, because I thought it was the answer to finally eliminate the hair, or at least reduce the amount. According to the description, and instructions, my hair should be the perfect candidate. I began shaving again before each laser treatment. I have used the laser as instructed, and I even bumped it up to using three times a week, opposed to two like the manual says. I use it on the strongest setting. According to the instructions and description, my hair should easily fall out because it’s black. After 2 months of using, I see zero results. My hair just looks and feels thicker because I had to start shaving again in order to use the laser. I’ve done 17 treatments and nothing. I will continue to have faith and give it more time, however if I continue to see no results, I will be returning. This product costs too much money to give zero results.

I purchased this unit in July of 2022 and used it regularly for about a year on my arms, legs, feet, hands, armpits, face, happy-trail and pelvic area. It worked great for my arms, legs, and hands. It helped a lot with my armpits. It didn't work at all for my face or pelvic region. Overall, though, I am happy with my purchase. Note: I am a transgender woman, but did not start hormone therapy until June of 2023. I include this info as it is possible that HRT impacted my results. I am also including a few notes about results from professional laser treatments, as those did work in some areas where the BoSidin failed. After a year of use, it seemed I had achieved the following results: * Arms: Full hair removal * Legs: Full hair removal * Feet: Full hair removal * Hands: Full hair removal * Armpits: About 50% hair reduction * Face: No decernable change * Happy-trail: Slight hair reduction * Pelvic area: No change 2.5 years after stopping home treatments (though I did pull it out and use it on my arms and legs a couple of times), I have the following results: * Arms: Nearly clear. There are a few stray hairs, mostly from moles and also where my watch sits on my wrist. I don't know why my watch would impact the results, but it really seems like it did. * Legs: Nearly clear. Knees were more stubborn and I had them zapped one time by professional laser hair removal and they are clear now. Stray hairs around a few areas that are harder to reach, so I probably missed them some of the time when I was doing regular treatments. * Feet: About 75% cleared. Regrowth is very slow. * Hands: About 75% cleared. Regrowth is very slow. * Armpits: After home treatments, I still had enough growth that I had my pits treated several times by professional laser hair removal, so they are 100% clear now. * Face: This product did not help with my face at all. Multiple rounds of professional laser treatments greatly reduced dark hairs, but even that did not clear all the dark hairs. Plus, many of my hairs are gray, so electrolysis is the only option for me. * Happy-trail: This product barely reduced hair in this zone. Multiple rounds of professional laser treatments did the trick, though. * Pelvic area: This product didn't seem to work at all in this zone. Multiple rounds of professional laser treatments have eleminated nearly all targetted hairs.

I love this thing. I've had it for 2 months and used it weekly for the first 5 weeks. Since then, I've reduced the frequency to every 2-3 weeks. It takes me about 1.5 hrs to do my full body: face, under arm, arms and knuckles, bikini area, full legs. I am a very hairy, pale white woman (mid thirties) and have always been self conscious about my body hair. I also have fibromyalgia which makes it difficult to shave often, so I bought this as a Valentine's gift to myself 😂 My goal is to prepare for summer and not have to shave at all (or very rarely) and completely rid the hair from my hands, arms, and face. NO PAIN: This doesn't hurt me at all unless I have hairs that haven't been shaved closely enough (mostly in my bikini area). It is like other reviewers have described, a very small rubber band snap. I've used an epillator in the past which was torturous and left me with awful ingrown hairs. This leaves my skin nice and smooth. FACE: The dark hair on my chin and upper lip is almost completely gone. I have been getting dark, coarse chin hairs that have multiplied over the last decade to about 20-30 hairs that I would pluck constantly. They're GONE!!! My mustache is something that I've waxed and plucked for 20+ years (I even bleached when I was in middle school). It's pretty much gone with only a few spots near my nostrils which are hard to hit with the light, but I'll keep at it. LEGS: My leg hair is reduced by about 80% and what is left is much slower going. I should have continued with weekly applications for a full 8 weeks, but my fibromyalgia and busy mom/work life got in the way. I've been using it every 2 to 3 weeks since the initial 5 weekly sessions. I think if I get back on a weekly track I'll be able to tackle those more stubborn dark hairs. I have very coarse, thick, dense leg hair. The remaining hairs are much thinner and softer, so that I don't feel itchy or self conscious with my partner despite only shaving them once a week (he didn't care before about my leg hair, but I hated the way it felt if he touched them). HANDS, ARMS, AND PITS: It's significantly reduced my arm and knuckle hair, I am especially self conscious about my knuckle hair, previously shaving it several times a week. Now it's about 50% gone and much finer/lighter. Still more than the typical woman IMO, so I'll keep at it. Currently I shave them abour once a week. My arm and underarm is 95% gone. BIKINI AREA: I did this area for the initial 5 week sessions, and haven't seen a huge reduction in growth. Moving forward, I'll focus more on my actual bikini LINE to prep for summer as this has always been a problem area and hitting the spots that need work on the rest of my body. It is very time consuming for my to shave everything and then do a full body session. Again, it takes me about 1.5hrs to do everything, and I'm tired by the end due to chronic fatigue. I'll see how the bikini area goes once I've reached the goals for all of my other areas. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this product, I just wish I had bought it sooner! It's so easy to use and maneuver. Do yourself a favor and buy it!
