Very helpful book
This book is great to read and loads of pictures to describe what’s going on but a good amount of text as well. The back of the book tells you ways to get involved with the space topic and how to learn more in it which was very helpful! I recommend this book!

Strange upsetting choices.
Great pics and camera shots but very strange and amateurish typesetting choices - Mixed fonts and detail missing due to build up of colours - definitely a one off! Perhaps these features will be the book's uniqueness in the fullness of time.

Small book with tiny tiny print!!
Bought this book to go with a course in astronomy. Very disappointed at how small the book is and how tiny the print is. Its one thing to save on production costs, but not if you can`t read it!!

Font inside very small
The book was delivered quickly and looks like the picture of it on the Amazon page. When you open it you see the font is very small so my guess is somewhere down the line a decision was taken to shrink the whole book down to save money. It is sad that this spoils an other wise excellent book.I am off to see if I can find a reasonably priced page magnifier.

disappointing
problem with the tiny size and not the content...the book is more like a think pamphlet. its surprisingly tiny. the print is small.its would be ideal to discover the universe on a long haul flight

Text is very small and difficult to read comfortably
The book appears to be excellent but the text size makes it less attractive.A bigger book format and text size would make this book a keeper.I’m sorry to have returned it because the content seemed fascinating.A bigger format would have greatly improved the the photos .

Another Winner from Brian May
Brian May, legendary guitarist/songwriter of the British rock band Queen, is also a PhD in Astrophysics. BangII is the second edition of a book presenting the latest in research into the origins and future of our universe he co-wrote with three other distinguished researchers. Beautifully illustrated with numerous photographs taken from telescopes on earth and in space, it is aimed at providing laymen and astronomic researchers with the latest thinking in both fact and conjecture as to how the Earth and it’s fellow planets got to the present day, and what lies ahead. This is not my usual reading fare, so I found some of the concepts presented pretty challenging to understand. But it was worth the effort!

Bang!
I have been reading books on the cosmos since I was 6 and I became entranced by the wonderful books of Dr. Carl Sagan. His books inspired in me the love for science, which later manifested in a doctorate in science - biochemistry in my case. Bang! follows that marvelous tradition of bringing the universe closer to the general public. I'm happy to see that Bang! has been updated to keep along with the latest scientific discoveries. I highly recommend this book. It's a great read for anyone interested in the history of our amazing universe, and for inspiring youngsters to love science.
